Über diese Manager - Digital Advisory Stelle bei BDO
We’re BDO, a global professional services firm connected to local markets. Our people work together to provide specialist expertise, helping businesses achieve their goals.
We inspire others, to go further. We create together, to reach higher. We build trust, to lead purposefully.
Whether you're building your future or starting your career with us, you won’t do it alone. From creating solutions for our clients to building careers for our people, we shape what matters, and that’s where you come in.
About the Role
This is responsible for leading the day-to-day delivery of client engagements across IT strategy, data governance, enterprise architecture, business analysis, and requirements definition.
Acting as the critical link between clients and delivery teams, this role will translate complex and often ambiguous business challenges into structured, actionable workstreams, whilst ensuring a high-quality project outcome.
Beyond project delivery, you'll develop and mentor team members, build trusted client relationships, and contribute to the growth of the practice through business development and thought leadership activities.
Key responsibilities:
Lead Impactful Client Engagements
- Deliver technology advisory projects from strategy through to execution, ensuring exceptional client outcomes.
- Solve complex business challenges and translate them into practical, actionable solutions.
- Manage project delivery, quality, budgets and risks to keep engagements on track.
Shape Technology and Data Strategies
Partner with clients to develop technology strategies, transformation roadmaps and business cases.
- Help organisations unlock more value from their data through effective governance and improved data capabilities.
- Provide trusted advice on technology architecture, operating models, governance and sourcing.
Drive Business Transformation
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, improve processes and define requirements.
- Design future-state solutions that support business goals and long-term growth.
- Guide organisations through technology-enabled change and transformation initiatives.
Build Relationships and Grow the Practice
- Develop trusted relationships with client stakeholders and act as a strategic advisor.
- Support business development through proposals, presentations and identifying new opportunities.
- Represent BDO in client meetings, workshops and leadership forums.
Lead and Develop People
- Coach and mentor consultants, helping them grow their skills and careers.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
- Contribute to practice development through knowledge sharing, innovation and continuous improvement.
About You
We're looking for a strategic thinker who can solve complex business and technology challenges that can influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
Combined with:
- Experience in technology advisory, strategy or transformation consulting is essential
- Tertiary qualification in information technology, business, engineering, commerce or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated delivery across at least two of the four core areas (IT strategy, data governance, architecture, requirements and process), with genuine depth in at least one.
- Track record of leading workstreams and supervising junior team members.
- Experience working across multiple industries or the demonstrated ability to move between unfamiliar sectors quickly.
- Working knowledge of enterprise technology landscapes — ERP, HCM, CRM, integration platforms, cloud and data platforms.
- Competence in process modelling notation (BPMN or equivalent) and requirements management practice.
- Strong command of Microsoft 365, particularly PowerPoint and Excel; familiarity with Visio, Lucidchart or similar modelling tools.
- Exposure to large-scale technology implementations, program assurance or vendor selection would be highly desirable
