You’re an analytical and creative problem-solver who can turn complex managed care data into clear insights and strategic recommendations. You have a foundational understanding of healthcare reimbursement structures and are comfortable drafting client-facing communications that make technical information accessible and actionable.

As a Business Analyst on Unlock Health’s Managed Care team, you’ll build trusted client relationships while supporting projects from research and analysis through final delivery. You’ll participate in client conversations, develop strategic communications and presentations, coordinate project activities, and collaborate with internal experts to help healthcare providers strengthen their payor strategies, financial performance, and patient acquisition and retention.

What You’ll Do

• Build trusted client relationships by serving as a responsive and thoughtful day-to-day partner.
• Participate in client meetings, gather business requirements, document decisions, and translate client needs into clear next steps.
• Analyze client data, reimbursement trends, benchmarking information, and public datasets to identify financial and operational insights.
• Evaluate managed care reimbursement structures, including payor contracts, DRGs, CPT codes, and fee-for-service or value-based models.
• Translate complex findings into clear stories, strategic recommendations, executive presentations, reports, and other client-facing communications.
• Draft meeting recaps, findings summaries, talking points, and decision-support materials tailored to different audiences.
• Coordinate project timelines, deliverables, action items, and internal contributors while proactively identifying potential risks or barriers.
• Collaborate with managed care leaders, finance teams, revenue cycle experts, analysts, and other cross-functional partners.
• Conduct independent research to solve ambiguous business challenges, validate findings, and identify new opportunities.
• Recommend improvements to processes, analytical tools, and deliverables that increase the quality and efficiency of client work.

What You Bring

• 1-3 years of experience in business analysis, healthcare consulting, managed care, strategic communications, or a related role.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, analytics, communications, data science, or a related field.
• Healthcare industry experience and a foundational understanding of managed care and reimbursement structures, such as payor contracts, DRGs, CPT codes, and fee-for-service or value-based models.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with SQL, Tableau, Snowflake, or similar analytical tools is a plus.
• Strong client-facing and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent writing and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate complex information clearly and persuasively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to connect detailed findings to broader business objectives.
• Experience coordinating multiple workstreams, managing deadlines, and maintaining organized project documentation for multiple projects at the same time.
• A proactive, curious, and adaptable approach to navigating ambiguity and evolving client needs.
