ABOUT THE POSITION
Maintenance Engineer at BURGA is more than just a title - it’s an opportunity to shape how we maintain, improve, and scale the equipment behind our production. You'll be at the heart of a fast-paced manufacturing environment, helping our Technical Department move from reactive firefighting toward proactive, data-driven maintenance.
Your Role: You’ll take ownership of how maintenance work is planned, documented, and continuously improved. From preventive maintenance schedules and CMMS data to spare parts, technical procedures, and root cause analysis, your work will directly help us reduce downtime, prevent recurring failures, and keep production running reliably as BURGA continues to grow.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
-
Build, maintain, and continuously improve preventive maintenance (PM) schedules for production equipment using CMMS data, failure history, MTBF, and manufacturer recommendations.
-
Own and administer our QR Maint CMMS, ensuring accurate equipment data, PM templates, work orders, maintenance history, and reporting.
-
Create and standardize technical maintenance procedures (SOPs), including diagnostic sequences, repair workflows, PM checklists, and safety requirements.
-
Analyze significant and recurring equipment failures, lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and ensure corrective actions are clearly defined, documented, and followed through.
-
Manage spare parts inventory, including stock accuracy, minimum stock levels, turnover, and reduction of obsolete or slow-moving parts.
-
Source original and alternative components, work with suppliers, and coordinate procurement and logistics to ensure critical parts are available when needed.
-
Coordinate external contractors and equipment distributors during warranty and non-warranty repairs and verify the quality of completed work.
-
Support and coach maintenance technicians on troubleshooting, repair standards, preventive maintenance, and accurate CMMS data entry.
-
Track maintenance performance and use data to identify opportunities to reduce breakdowns, repair time, maintenance costs, and unplanned production downtime.
-
Work closely with the Technical Group Head and production teams to continuously improve equipment reliability and maintenance processes.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
-
3+ years of experience in industrial/manufacturing maintenance, maintenance engineering, reliability engineering, or a similar technical role.
-
Hands-on experience with preventive maintenance planning and scheduling in a manufacturing environment.
-
Experience working with CMMS platforms such as QR Maint, Alldevice, UpKeep, or similar.
-
Experience with root cause analysis (RCA) and structured problem-solving methods such as 5 Whys.
-
Experience managing or coordinating spare parts, suppliers, procurement, or technical inventory.
-
Good understanding of industrial equipment, maintenance practices, diagnostics, and repair processes.
-
Good Excel skills and confidence working with maintenance data and KPIs.
-
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to turn recurring technical issues into practical, long-term solutions.
-
Clear communication skills - you can explain technical information to both technicians and management and maintain precise documentation.
-
A proactive, structured mindset and a genuine interest in building better maintenance systems rather than simply reacting to breakdowns.
