Machine Operator | Evansville, IN | Starting Pay $20.42 per hour

What You'll Do

• Operate automatic strip fed press, lugger, compo machine and oven

• Load strips into the magazine of press

• Responsible for quality of production

• Inspect caps visually with test blocks. 

• Inspect caps using automatic gauging equipment and enter date into SPC system

• Remove full cartons of caps from underneath counter

• Position empty cartons on conveyor

• Seal and stack full cartons on skids

• Fill out labels for finished boxes

• Monitor and make adjustments to cap height, lug length, plastisol thickness as necessary

• Remove jams

• Monitor AVI rejects and determine responsibility of defective product. Notify supervisor of findings.

• Grease and oil machines

• Occasionally assist the mechanic as needed

• Keep assigned work area neat and clean

• Relieve as required

• Perform other related duties as directed by supervisor

What We Need

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required

• Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted

• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and twist/bend for extended periods

• Must be able to work any shift
