The School of Business and Economics (SBE) at Brandeis University seeks a co-instructor for the BUS 295a: Leadership in Social Impact Innovation, a 4-credit course in Spring 2027 semester. The class is an experiential course in which students work in small teams to solve real organizational challenges for social impact organizations, in the livelihoods, environmental, social, and governance space. Partner organizations include both not-for-profit and for-profit enterprises, ranging from small and local to multi-regional and global.

Each team is matched with a partner organization and a mentor who helps define the scope of the engagement — a challenge with genuine strategic impact and tactical feasibility. Teams diagnose the problem, conduct research, develop recommendations, and deliver an implementation-ready product to their client by the end of the semester.

Candidates with minimum qualification of doctoral (Ph.D.) degree along with relevant entrepreneurial qualifications and experience in Social Impact organizations will be given preference. Interested individuals should submit a short cover letter, CV and names and contact information for two references. The deadline for first consideration is September 25, 2026.

Compensation for this position as a co-instructor will be in between $4,500 to $5,000 range depending on qualifications.

This appointment is to a position that is in a collective bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local 509.
