ROLE SUMMARY

Within it, the Learning Effectiveness, Architecture & Products team connects every learning program, product, and platform into one cohesive, measurable system — meeting customer-facing learners where they are and ensuring every learning experience ladders to business impact.

The Learning Effectiveness & Impact Director is responsible for driving the measurement and impact agenda across the learning portfolio. This role acts as a primary effectiveness and impact resource for the business — partnering with training, enablement, and commercial leaders to pre-define success measures for each program based on learning objectives and value drivers, shape and uphold the impact methodology and metric standard, and lead the behavior- and business-level studies that prove what learning changes. The Director carries the evidence narrative to senior leadership — translating complex learning impact data into clear insight that drives pull-through opportunities, program optimization, and investment decisions across the portfolio, with coverage priorities shaped collaboratively as the capability grows and the work evolves.

The role works closely with the Team Lead, and cross-functionally with commercial leaders, business analytics, commercial effectiveness, and digital partners to connect training measures to the analytics the business already runs on — core product and role goals, KPIs, and customer measures. This strategic leader will operate in a matrixed environment that requires agility, the ability to see patterns, and modeling “lightspeed” behaviors. The individual should possess a combination of strategic thinking, analytical expertise, and excellent communication and presentation abilities to help the team achieve our broader capability aspiration, deliver on our mission and vision, and support aligned business revenue targets.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive the design and implementation of the training measurement strategy across the learning portfolio, using both standard and novel analytics — content performance, field and launch readiness, upskilling and bench-strength insight.
• Shape and uphold the impact methodology and metric definition — what readiness means, what a score means, and how impact is proven — as one standard across the portfolio.
• Lead behavior- and business-level study designs for priority programs, partnering the Learning Impact Analyst on execution.
• Partner the Learning Architecture Lead to define success measures for each initiative and validate the correlations between learning, competency attainment and business outcomes.
• Carry the evidence narrative and integrated scorecard to senior leadership with clear, actionable recommendations that inform program optimization and investment.
• Represent measurement in planning and prioritization conversations so evidence shapes the portfolio, with coverage priorities developed collaboratively as the work progresses.
• Build the measurement practice — standards, instruments, and development of analytical talent — so the capability strengthens over time.
• Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• BA/BS degree required.
• A minimum of 8+ years of experience in sales, training, commercial analytics, performance management or program evaluation, or a combination of related experiences.
• Demonstrated command of evaluation methodology — study design, causal inference, evidence hierarchies — and translating findings into actionable insight.
• Experience translating commercial strategy into clear analytical plans, and creating frameworks and systems to support, drive and measure success.
• Executive presence and ability to influence senior stakeholders internally and externally.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a track record of building partnership across functions and stakeholder levels.
• Outstanding presentation, facilitation and writing skills.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's degree
• Experience with Pfizer learning platforms, data, and the broader commercial ecosystem.
• Experience with business measures for brands and customer-facing colleagues.
• Commercial pharmaceutical or field-force measurement experience.
• Experience standing up or scaling a measurement function.
• Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse matrixed leadership experiences 

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Approximately 10-20% travel required.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $162,900.00 to $271,500.00.* In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
