About us:
AOS (Airbus Operating System) is our daily way of working to improve performance.
AOS provides teams with a set of standards (called ‘Bricks’) to manage and improve daily activities through routines that align all Functions.
With a proven impact on performance, they cover all the key aspects that have to be managed in the workplace: Manpower, Machines, Materials, Measurement, Methods (5M) and Environment. AOS defines the best ways of working for all Airbus employees.
Once standards are in place and variability has been reduced, continuous improvement can be applied to raise the performance level.

AOS is involved in a wide range of business improvement topics, which will give you an enriching and thorough experience as an Intern.
What you will be doing:
- Communication skills enhancement;
- Lean & Operational Management;
- Coaching to operations and functions;
- Exciting site projects enabling the future of wing production.
Requirements:
Our placements are open to Undergraduates only. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement. Please inform your graduation date on your application.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:
Studying towards a degree in Business Management, Engineering, or a related discipline;
Experience in customer-facing roles;
Experience or exposure to Lean principles or continuous improvement environments;
Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
Resilience and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment;
A strong coaching mindset and willingness to support and develop others;
A continuous improvement mindset with a drive to identify and implement improvements.
Additional qualifications (preferred but not essential):
Completion of Lean-related modules as part of your university studies would be advantageous.
SECURITY CLEARANCE: You will be subject to a BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) check. You may also need to gain UK SC-level Security Clearance or Export Control, depending on the role.
