We are searching for the best talent for a Leader, Business Engagement - Learn located in Titusville, NJ, Raritan, NJ, New Brunswick, NJ, or Horsham PA.
The Leader, Business Engagement - Learn will serve as the key point of contact between Learn and sector and Enterprise Function stakeholders, helping ensure learning priorities and solutions are connected to business and talent needs.
Reporting to the Head, Business Insights & Impact, Learn, this role will initially support Innovative Medicine, Johnson & Johnson MedTech, and Enterprise Functions. The Manager will build strong relationships with BUHR, Talent Directors, business stakeholders, and Learn partners to understand sector priorities, connect stakeholders with the appropriate Learn capabilities and offerings, and coordinate a clear and aligned response.
The role will develop strong knowledge of Learn’s Practice Area portfolio, digital learning solutions, and technology strategy to help stakeholders navigate available offerings and determine the most appropriate path forward. This role will bring sector context into Learn, support alignment across the appropriate teams, and maintain visibility and follow-through from initial need through agreed action.
As the operating model evolves, this role may partner with a second similar role to divide coverage across sectors, regions, and Enterprise Functions. Initially, the Manager will help establish consistent engagement routines and ways of working that create a responsive, coordinated, and business-focused experience for Learn stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a Sector-Facing Point of Contact
- Serve as a key Learn point of contact for Innovative Medicine, Johnson & Johnson MedTech, Enterprise Functions, and their respective HR and talent stakeholders.
- Maintain regular engagement with BUHR, Talent Directors, business stakeholders, and Learn partners to understand sector strategies, talent priorities, and evolving capability needs.
- Provide stakeholders with a clear entry point into Learn and help direct needs to the appropriate Practice Area, solution, or partner.
- Represent sector context within Learn discussions and communicate relevant Learn priorities, offerings, and decisions back to sector stakeholders.
Connect Priorities with Learn’s Portfolio
- Develop strong working knowledge of Practice Area strategies, portfolio offerings, digital learning solutions, and relevant learning technologies.
- Help stakeholders identify existing Learn offerings that can address business and capability priorities before initiating new solutions.
- Connect sector needs with the appropriate Practice Area and functional experts to shape the most relevant response.
- Support alignment on the appropriate learning solution, audience, delivery approach, timing, and execution path.
- Identify where needs may require further assessment, customization, or escalation and engage the appropriate Learn partners.
Coordinate Stakeholder Needs and Learn’s Response
- Translate sector priorities and stakeholder requests into clear briefs that define the business context, capability need, intended audience, desired outcome, and relevant timing.
- Coordinate across Practice Areas, Learn partners, HR stakeholders, and business representatives to clarify roles, align next steps, and maintain momentum.
- Track requests, decisions, dependencies, and agreed actions to support consistent follow-through.
- Surface competing priorities, unresolved issues, or cross-sector dependencies to the Head, Business Insights & Impact, Learn and appropriate Learn leaders.
- Help stakeholders understand the rationale for agreed priorities, sequencing, and execution choices.
Support Sector Planning and Portfolio Alignment
- Bring sector strategies, business priorities, and talent context into Learn’s annual planning and portfolio review processes.
- Prepare concise sector summaries that highlight priority needs, planned Learn support, key dependencies, and decisions required.
- Support discussions among sector stakeholders and Practice Areas to align demand with enterprise priorities, existing offerings, and available capacity.
- Identify recurring or shared needs across stakeholder groups and elevate them for broader consideration.
- Provide sector context to the Head, Business Insights & Impact, Learn to inform enterprise-level synthesis, prioritization, and decision support.
Maintain Engagement Routines and Feedback Loops
- Establish and maintain consistent stakeholder engagement routines across assigned sectors and Enterprise Functions.
- Support Learn Councils and related stakeholder forums by coordinating agendas, preparing materials, capturing decisions, and monitoring follow-through.
- Gather practical feedback on the relevance, accessibility, and effectiveness of Learn’s support and route it to the appropriate teams.
- Keep stakeholders informed of progress, decisions, changes, and actions related to their priorities.
- Maintain a clear view of active sector needs and Learn commitments.
Support Business Outcomes Alignment
- Clarify the intended business, talent, or capability outcomes associated with sector learning priorities.
- Partner with the Business Outcomes Manager and Practice Areas to connect stakeholder expectations with appropriate measures of success.
- Bring stakeholder feedback and business context into outcome and impact discussions.
- Coordinate additional measurement support when deeper analysis or specialized expertise is required.
- Share available portfolio and impact information with stakeholders to support informed conversations about learning priorities and execution.
Enable a Consistent Stakeholder Experience
- Develop practical tools, templates, and ways of working for stakeholder engagement, request intake, coordination, communication, and follow-through.
- Promote a consistent experience for sectors and Enterprise Functions engaging with Learn.
- Support the continued evolution of the stakeholder coverage model as responsibilities expand across similar roles.
- Demonstrate business acumen, portfolio fluency, responsiveness, sound judgment, and strong stakeholder partnership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in HR, learning and development, talent management, HR business partnering, consulting, program management, capability planning, or a related field.
- Experience working directly with business, HR, talent, regional, or functional stakeholders in a complex, matrixed organization.
- Demonstrated ability to understand business and talent priorities and connect them with relevant programs, capabilities, solutions, or resources.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and navigate multiple perspectives.
- Strong coordination and program management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, dependencies, and workstreams.
- Ability to develop knowledge of a broad portfolio and use that understanding to guide stakeholders toward appropriate offerings and partners.
- Proven experience leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to enhance personal productivity and/or department performance.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to clarify needs, synthesize business context, and prepare concise materials for leadership audiences.
- Sound judgment and comfort operating in situations where stakeholder needs, priorities, roles, or execution paths may still be evolving.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a related discipline.
- Experience in a BUHR role or comparable HR business-partnering position, with an understanding of how business, workforce, talent, and capability priorities connect.
- Experience supporting Innovative Medicine, Johnson & Johnson MedTech, Enterprise Functions, regional teams, or comparable business segments and functions.
- Experience supporting enterprise learning, talent, capability-building, or portfolio-based solutions in a large, global organization.
- Familiarity with learning portfolios, digital learning solutions, learning technology, or capability-planning approaches.
- Experience supporting stakeholder councils, governance forums, annual planning, or cross-functional prioritization processes.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$122,000.00 - $212,750.00Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.
Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:
Vacation –120 hours per calendar year
Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year
Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year
