Tessera is seeking a committed and supportive Lead Warehouse Specialist with a professional attitude. This position is expected to start up November 01, 2026.
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
- Supervise, train, and mentor warehouse personnel on warehouse operations, inventory, and packing & shipping.
- Create daily staff schedules, assign tasks, monitor individual performance, and foster a collaborative team environment.
- Oversee the daily processing of inbound shipments and outbound orders
- Ensure all orders are fulfilled accurately and shipped on time to meet customer service levels.
- Implement inventory control procedures, oversee cycle counts, and audit warehouse locations to maintain inventory accuracy within Department of Public Work targets
- Implement and sustain company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and proper material handling procedures
- Conduct daily safety briefings and ensure all equipment (such as forklifts and pallet jacks) is operated safely and maintained correctly.
- Operate vehicle in accordance with all applicable civilian and government regulations
- Move inventory into and out of the warehouse, as needed. Moves inventory between locations within warehouse.
- Ensure all equipment is stored and stacked in a safe manner.
- Collaborate with Warehouse Administrative Clerk to ensure Enterprise Military Housing Web-based platform is updated daily and accurately reflects warehouse inventory and government requirements.
- Able to operate specialized heavy machinery Forklift (4K-10K), Pallet Jack, Motorized Cleaner (Sweeper).
- Using hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic equipment to fasten, bolt, or snap parts together.
- Assembling furniture units (such as desks, chairs, cabinets, or sofas) from flat-packs raw components, or sub-assemblies.
- Keep assembly benches, walking aisles, and loading docks clean, tidy, and free of tripping hazards (e.g., breaking down cardboard, sweeping sawdust).
- Helps with receiving, processing, storing and shipping goods in a warehouse or similar requirements within Fort Stewart DPW.
- Use heavy-duty straps, load bars, and tie-downs to lock fully assembled furniture in place inside the truck to prevent shifting during transit
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of managing warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain management
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, and Microsoft Office (specifically Excel).
- Ability to get forklift certified required.
- Familiarity with standard material handling equipment preferred.
- Strong coaching and motivational skills preferred.
Physical Requirements:

- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
- Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
- Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.

- A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
