Our Kensington hospital is a modern, well-equipped veterinary facility providing high-quality emergency and out-of-hours care to pets across London. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional patient care, excellent client service, and strong clinical standards around the clock.

As part of a wider network of practices, you'll benefit from complete case continuity, with shared clinical systems giving you instant access to patient histories and treatment records whenever you need them.

A Rewarding Emergency and Critical Care Role

This role is ideal for a Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys the fast-paced nature of emergency medicine and thrives on delivering gold-standard patient and client care.

You'll manage a diverse and interesting caseload, working alongside an experienced and supportive team while utilising modern equipment and facilities to provide the very best outcomes for your patients.

Work-Life Balance Built In

This permanent full-time position offers an attractive night rota of:

  • 7 nights on, 14 nights off

  • Monday to Sunday

  • 7:00pm – 9:00am shifts

  • Weekends and Bank Holidays included only if they fall during your scheduled working week

This pattern provides significant time away from work, allowing you to enjoy an exceptional work-life balance while maintaining a rewarding ECC caseload.

Please note that accommodation is not included with this role.

Role Accountabilities

In this role you will:

Deliver exceptional clinical care to your patients during consultations and procedures.

Provide exceptional care to your clients, giving clear updates on patients.

Deliver professional excellence, observing the highest standards of regulatory, practice and operational compliance.

Prepare tailored, accurate treatment and care plans for each patient with clear cost estimates.

Engage, mentor and develop your team, enhancing their skills and utilising these in the most effective way.

Complete clinical handover and arrange transfer of any patient needing out of hours or enhanced care.

Pro-actively support and share clinical best practice within and across practices and the wider Medivet community.

Your Skills and Experience

RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.

Experienced in delivering exceptional care to both patients and clients.

Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.

Able to demonstrate clinical leadership skills.

Experience of implementing a progressive clinical culture.

Experience of supporting nurse consults and schedule 3 procedures, with an understanding of how this contributes to clinic performance and efficiency.

Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
