We are seeking Lead Cyber Analysts to join a high-performing cyber security team. This is a 12-month contract with potential extensions, offering the opportunity to work across a broad range of ICT environments, including cloud, legacy and emerging technologies.
Requirements
What you’ll do
- Conduct security risk assessments across ICT systems and applications.
- Assess Azure Cloud, legacy ICT, AI technologies and complex systems from a cyber security perspective.
- Develop and review security documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs) and SSP Annexes.
- Provide security guidance on application and system designs in line with the PSPF, ISM and Essential Eight.
- Identify security risks, provide recommendations and help strengthen the organisation’s overall security posture.
- Work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders to communicate cyber risks and solutions.
- Prepare and present security advice and briefings to senior and executive-level audiences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement secure solutions and maintain compliance with Australian Government security standards.
What you’ll bring
- 3–5 years’ experience conducting cyber security risk assessments within a government environment.
- Strong experience across Azure Cloud, legacy ICT, AI technologies and complex systems.
- Current knowledge of the PSPF, ISM and Essential Eight.
- Strong understanding of networking infrastructure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Experience engaging confidently with senior stakeholders and delivering executive-level briefings.
- Strong problem-solving skills, sound judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities with limited supervision.
- The ability to build productive relationships and work collaboratively across technical and business teams.
- Australian Government security experience and the ability to obtain NV1 clearance.
- Understanding of Operational Technology (OT) would be advantageous.
