JOB PURPOSE
The Law Clerk at PHINIA offers a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting the Americas Legal team of a global public company and diversified industrial supplier. Reporting to the Americas Legal team, this role offers exposure to legal priorities directly tied to the Company’s business and operations across North and South America, including commercial contracts, customer and supplier matters, regulatory and compliance requirements, employment matters, and governance, in addition to general corporate matters. This role also offers exposure to a variety of other matters handled by the broader Legal team, including relating to trade, ethics and compliance, intellectual property, cybersecurity, sustainability, securities, corporate governance, and commercial matters across the EMEA and APAC regions. It’s an exciting opportunity for law students interested in gaining practical experience in-house and broad exposure to legal practices areas, while developing professional skills.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the review, organization, and drafting of non-disclosure agreements, commercial contracts, and related documentation for customer, supplier, and other business matters across the Americas.
- Research discrete legal and regulatory issues relevant to PHINIA’s business and operations in North and South America, including relating to commercial, compliance, trade, environmental, health, and safety, and employment matters.
- Support governance and other corporate matters, as needed.
- Develop awareness of the role of key functions within a complex global organization and collaborate with professionals within Legal, as well as Finance, Procurement, Sales, and other business partners, as needed.
- Law student looking to work part-time (approx. 15-25 hours/week) during the 2026 – 2027 school year, with the potential to continue full-time (40 hours/week) during Summer 2027
- Eager to learn and engage with diverse teams
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- High attention to detail and excellent project and time management skills
