About the Springer Site 

The Springer site is an underground mining operation located near Imlay, Nevada. As activities at the site continue to advance, dependable field support is essential to maintaining safe, clean, and organized work areas and supporting daily construction and site activities. 

About the Role 

The Laborer performs general manual and field-support duties at the Springer site. This role assists construction personnel, tradespeople, contractors, and other site teams with material handling, work-area preparation, cleanup, basic maintenance, and other assigned tasks. 

The Laborer is expected to complete work safely, follow instructions, properly use assigned tools and equipment, and contribute to an organized and productive work environment. 

Key Responsibilities 

General Site Support 

• Perform general labor duties in support of construction, maintenance, and site activities. 

• Prepare work areas, move materials, organize supplies, and assist employees and contractors as directed. 

• Maintain clean, orderly, and hazard-free work areas. 

Material Handling 

• Load, unload, move, and stage tools, materials, equipment, and supplies. 

• Assist with receiving deliveries and organizing materials in designated storage areas. 

• Use appropriate manual or powered material-handling equipment when trained and authorized. 

Construction & Maintenance Assistance 

• Assist skilled tradespeople and construction personnel with basic tasks under appropriate supervision. 

• Support minor repairs, facility upkeep, barricade installation, and site-preparation activities. 

• Operate basic hand and power tools in accordance with training and safety procedures. 

Equipment & Tool Care 

• Inspect tools and equipment before use and report defects or unsafe conditions. 

• Clean, organize, and properly store tools, equipment, and materials after completing work. 

• Perform basic equipment checks and routine care when assigned and appropriately trained. 

Health, Safety & Environment 

• Follow all company health, safety, environmental, and operational requirements. 

• Participate in pre-shift meetings, job-hazard analyses, inspections, and required safety training. 

• Immediately report hazards, incidents, injuries, equipment damage, and unsafe conditions. 

Team Support 

• Follow instructions provided by supervisors and communicate questions or concerns before proceeding. 

• Work cooperatively with employees, contractors, equipment operators, and skilled tradespeople. 

• Perform other reasonable site-support duties according to operational and project needs. 

Qualifications & Experience 

• High school diploma or GED is preferred. 

• Previous experience in construction, mining, industrial operations, maintenance, warehousing, or general labor is considered an asset. 

• Experience using basic hand and power tools is preferred. 

• Ability to complete required site, equipment, and safety training. 

• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet all site-access requirements may be required.

Working Conditions 

• Work is performed in active construction and industrial areas at the Springer site and may include outdoor assignments.  

• May require extended or rotational schedules, including weekends, based on project needs. 

• Requires ability to position self, traverse across and work on uneven terrain. 

• Ability to frequently position, place, and install materials weighing up to 50 pounds. 

• Occasional exposure to dust, noise, heavy equipment, and varying weather conditions. 

• Required personal protective equipment must be worn in designated areas.
