Position Overview
This is a newly created, standalone L&D role operating across a geographically distributed SaaS business of approximately 1,100 employees. The role carries end-to-end ownership of learning and development activity—from designing and facilitating manager effectiveness programmes to maintaining the integrity of employee training records across all jurisdictions. The primary focus is building and embedding a performance-oriented management culture.
As an individual contributor working without a direct team beneath you, this position requires both the strategic mindset to set organizational priorities and the hands-on capability to personally deliver them.
Key Responsibilities
1. People Development & Training Management
-
Manager Effectiveness: Design and deliver a comprehensive programme that equips people leaders with the skills, tools, and confidence to manage performance, navigate difficult conversations, adapt leadership styles, and communicate clearly across cultures.
-
Performance Accountability: Develop targeted content enabling managers to address underperformance early, document concerns clearly, and follow through consistently.
-
Situational Leadership: Deliver practical frameworks to help managers adapt their leadership style to different individuals and organizational contexts.
-
Cross-Cultural Alignment: Address and bridge cross-cultural communication gaps relevant to managing teams across Europe, India, and other global markets.
-
Compliance & Records: Maintain accurate, up-to-date training records globally within the LMS. Generate regular completion reports for the HR Director and local regulatory/legal bodies as required.
-
Point of Contact: Act as the primary internal and external expert for training record queries from managers, HR generalists, and auditors.
2. Coaching & Facilitation
-
Follow-up Touchpoints: Design and facilitate structured post-training modules (small group debriefs, peer learning circles) to support managers in applying learned concepts to real-world scenarios.
-
Lifecycle Integration: Partner closely with HR Generalists to align training programs with key employee milestones, particularly performance enablement and annual reviews.
-
Live Delivery & Logistics: Facilitate engaging live training sessions—both virtually and in-person—ensuring frameworks are inclusive and adapted to the audience. Own all end-to-end session logistics (scheduling, calendar coordination, attendance tracking).
3. Toolkits & LMS Curation
-
Manager Toolkit: Build and maintain practical, accessible resources including conversation frameworks, one-page guides, example feedback language, and performance documentation templates.
-
Content Curation: Collaborating with the Global L&D team, curate and update the LMS with high-quality manager content while systematically retiring legacy materials.
Profile & Qualifications
-
Experience: 5 to 7 years of prior experience in a dedicated L&D or People Development role, ideally within an international or scaling tech organization.
-
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
-
Core Expertise: Proven hands-on experience facilitating corporate programmes (e.g., Feedback, Performance Management) with multi-country operational exposure.
-
Coaching: Deep experience or formal certification in professional coaching frameworks.
-
Technical Skills: Strong familiarity with modern Learning Management Systems (LMS) is highly advantageous.
-
Languages: Trilingual fluency is required. Must be fluent in English, Dutch, and French to effectively support local and global stakeholders.
