What is this role all about?

As a Mid or Senior Software Engineer at Infobip, you will be part of our Engineering Powerhouse, working on an in-house-developed product that operates at a global scale. As an engineer in our Tuzla office, you will join a team handling the challenges of large-scale architecture and building a scalable, balanced platform that sends over a billion messages daily and helps our clients grow their businesses.

It's an opportunity to work on our email communication channel, a part of our omnichannel communication platform, where we enable clients to create rich, targeted marketing and transactional emails at scale, tens of billions of emails monthly, while maintaining deliverability and ensuring emails land in the inbox.

When you join us, you will mostly work with Java and Kotlin. If you have a strong foundation in object-oriented programming, we still encourage you to apply, even if you have not worked with this exact tech stack before.

What you’ll do:

• Develop, maintain, monitor and troubleshoot your team services
• Have full ownership of the code you produce 
• Write well-designed, testable, and scalable code following clean code principles 
• Have a general overview and understanding of the interactions and dependencies in the entire system 
• Work and expand your knowledge in the realm of backend and frontend development, databases, system design, alerting and monitoring tools  
• Work within agile framework (Scrum, LESS) and have a dedicated Product Manager  
• Participate with your team in agile practices such as sprint planning and retrospectives  
• Apply an AI-first mindset, including exploring and integrating AI or LLM-based capabilities into product features where relevant.

• Experienced professional looking for a high growth challenge  
• Good knowledge and understanding of object-oriented principles  
• Good knowledge and understanding of data structures and algorithms  
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks and building frontend applications
• Experience working with concurrent and multi-tier applications  
• Recognizing the value of code-review and experience with code testing 
• Good understanding of RESTful services
• Good knowledge of databases such as MSSQL, PostgreSQL etc.
• You are comfortable using modern development approaches, including AI-assisted coding tools and agents.

Nice-to-have qualifications

• Familiar with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, Maven, Canary or similar  
• Experience working with our tech stack: Java, Spring, Spring Boot and React 
• Ability to design and implement caching strategies that improve application performance and scalability 
• Knowledge of asynchronous communication patterns and techniques using tools such as RabbitMQ or Kafka, taking into consideration their monitoring and observability 
• Ready to adopt, implement or propose new technologies 
• Experience in technologies such as Kotlin, Bash, Docker, Prometheus or others
