Purpose:
The mission of the IT Support Specialist is to provide friendly, practical and reliable day-to-day support to colleagues in our Paris office and, where required, to colleagues across the wider group.
This is a hands-on, entry-level role. You will be the first point of contact for common IT questions and incidents, helping colleagues use their devices, accounts and business applications effectively. You will work closely with the central IT team and external or specialist support providers, escalating more complex issues when needed.
The role is suited to someone at the start of their IT career who enjoys solving problems, helping people and learning how a modern, international technology environment operates.

RESPONSIBILITIES
User support and troubleshooting
- Provide first-line support for laptops, peripherals, printers, connectivity and common software issues.
- Respond to support requests clearly, professionally and within agreed priorities.
- Troubleshoot common issues across Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack and other business applications.
- Help colleagues with account access, passwords, multi-factor authentication and basic application permissions.
- Record support requests, actions taken and outcomes so that recurring issues can be identified and resolved more efficiently.
- Escalate incidents that require specialist or administrator-level support, ensuring that the relevant context is captured.
Joiner, mover and leaver support
- Support the setup of laptops, accounts and standard applications for new joiners.
- Help coordinate access changes when colleagues change role or leave the business.
- Support the secure return, preparation and handover of company devices.
- Keep onboarding and offboarding information accurate and flag gaps in the process.
Local office and device support
- Act as the local IT contact for the Paris office.
- Maintain an accurate view of local devices, peripherals and basic IT equipment.
- Help colleagues with meeting-room, presentation and connectivity issues.
- Work with the central IT team and support providers to resolve incidents that cannot be handled locally.
Security and good IT practice
- Follow company IT, security and data protection policies when handling devices, accounts and access requests.
- Help colleagues follow secure working practices, including multi-factor authentication, approved software and the safe handling of company information.
- Escalate suspected security incidents, lost devices or unusual access requests promptly.
- Support the central IT team with basic checks, documentation and evidence gathering when required.
Documentation and continuous improvement
- Maintain simple, useful user guidance for recurring questions and common tasks.
- Identify recurring support issues and suggest practical improvements.
- Contribute to the standardisation of support processes across Singulier and OMMAX.
- Support technology change and migration activities by helping prepare users, devices and local office arrangements.
Requirements
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Must have
- Initial experience in an IT support, helpdesk, service desk, IT administration or technical customer-support role, including internships, apprenticeships or relevant personal projects.
- A practical understanding of Windows and/or macOS troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with common productivity, collaboration and communication tools.
- A structured approach to diagnosing problems and following them through to resolution.
- Strong customer-service skills and the ability to explain technical issues in straightforward language.
- Good organisation, attention to detail and willingness to document work.
- Fluent French and good working English. The role supports an international team and must not be limited to French-only communication.
- Ability to work from the Paris office and collaborate effectively with colleagues in other countries.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Google Workspace, Slack or endpoint-management tools.
- Familiarity with ticketing, asset-management or remote-support tools.
- Basic understanding of identity and access management, endpoint security and data protection.
- An IT-related qualification or certification, such as ITIL Foundation, Microsoft Fundamentals or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience working with an external managed service provider or central IT team.
