ING Hubs Romania offers 130 services in software development, data management, non-financial risk & compliance, audit, and retail operations to 24 ING units worldwide, with the help of over 2000 high-performing engineers, risk, and operations professionals.

The Mission

Retail & Banking Technology (R&BT) provides common technology capabilities, frameworks, platforms, and reusable product services that ING entities can use to build local customer propositions. Its capabilities are designed for reuse across countries, customer segments, channels, and products.

Its responsibilities include:

• Providing foundational capabilities, a strong data foundation, and reusable product engines and services.
• Managing a portfolio of global products and services and setting standards for their providers.
• Coordinating demand from countries with supply from global providers, including alignment of priorities and roadmaps.
• Supporting the integration and pre-integration of global services into local propositions.
• Promoting reuse across countries, channels, and customer segments.
• Ensuring that the components of our scalable products work together consistently and are easy for consumers to integrate.

The IT Integrator for R&BT is responsible for the coordination and management of large-scale, cross-domain IT initiatives within R&BT. This role acts as a strategic bridge between business and IT, ensuring the successful, timely, and cost-effective delivery of complex IT solutions that support R&BT’s mission and objectives. The IT Integrator drives collaboration, oversees project governance, and facilitates the implementation of technology-driven change across multiple teams, tribes, and organizational boundaries.

Your day to day

Even if you’ll start your day from the comfort of your home or drink your morning coffee in our office’s garden, your day will be quite similar when it comes to tasks. Here are your daily responsibilities:

Project Coordination & Planning

• Define interdependencies and estimations for features and epics with stakeholders, resulting in a comprehensive IT implementation plan.
• Set up and coordinate the execution of implementation plans, focusing on collaboration and dependencies across different teams and tribes.
• Coordinate end-to-end testing and activation of new IT solutions.
• Provide regular status reports on IT changes at all relevant organizational levels.

Stakeholder Management

• Engage and collaborate with architects, asset owners (Tribe Lead, Product Area Lead, Product Lead), customer journey experts, operations, data consumers, data owners, IT business analysts, IT custodians, legal, risk, compliance, squads, and external partners.
• Clarify and agree on responsibilities for business and IT changes with business representatives.

Governance & Delivery

• Define project governance structures with stakeholders.
• Ensure efficient, effective, and timely feature delivery, proactively identifying and removing obstacles.
• Facilitate feature planning, cooperation, and delivery between teams.

Work Allocation & Artefacts

• Receive work assignments from the IT Lead and IT Area Lead for cross-domain initiatives.
• Produce and maintain key artefacts: implementation plans, governance documents, status reports, deployment runbooks, master test plans, and project closure reports.

What you’ll bring to the team

Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of platform technologies, cloud services, and integration patterns.
• Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software delivery practices.
• Experience with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, SAFe) and tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
• 5+ years in the banking industry or as an IT Project Manager with focus on coordination and integration, but also some analytical skills.
• Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, or equivalent.
• Agile/Scrum Master certification.
• ITIL Foundation or higher.
• 10+ years’ experience in feature engineering, integration, project management, or customer journeys for the banking industry.
• High level technical expertise.
• Experience with market leading banking software.
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in an IT related field.
