2027 MBA candidates will join TDP’s investment team in Chicago, Illinois and Dallas, Texas full-time in the summer of 2027.
Post-MBA (prior to 2027) candidates may be considered for an earlier start.
The Vice President will work on all aspects of our private equity investment process, working alongside the founding partners and senior members of the firm. This is a partner-track position and our goal is to identify a candidate who can grow in the role and become a senior member of the TDP team.

Job Responsibilities:
• Complete market and business analysis to evaluate investment opportunities
• Identify and help source new investment targets and management talent
• Support portfolio companies on add-on acquisitions and other growth/operational initiatives
• Assist in all aspects of the investment process
• Utilize a fact-based decision framework to help make investment recommendations to the team

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will be passionate about investing and is a self-starter capable of taking on a broad array of responsibilities within TDP’s entrepreneurial environment. Candidates must have strong interpersonal skills and history communicating directly with business owners and management teams in a collaborative, effective manner. Candidates should possess strong analytical skills and a natural desire to execute in a detail-oriented manner.

• Prior experience in private equity and strong ties to Chicago and/or Texas
• High degree of intellectual curiosity and ability to develop an investment thesis
• Coachable, positive attitude and open to constructive feedback
• Ability to proactively gather information and establish relationships with key stakeholders
• Desire to work in a small-team environment with increasing responsibility over time
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
• Demonstrated academic achievement in both undergraduate and business school
