Job Description

1. Take responsibility for overseeing the preparation of all PM marketing and client-specific materials, including:

• Monthly updates of various standard PM presentations and factsheets.

• Regular updates and communication of PM strategies and trades.

• Ad hoc mandate update presentations for internal and client use.

• Specific/individual client proposal/review/update presentations.

• Development of materials to explain portfolio strategy, risk, performance to clients of various levels of investment sophistication.

• Participation in strategic projects to help build out and enhance the PM platform and/or deliver improvements in client experience.

2. Help drive the overall marketing effort for the discretionary Portfolio Management (PM) and funds business, which would include separate account Mandates, comingled Funds, private label funds, managed Certificates, and other services.

• Coordinate marketing and promotion of PM products/services across the Asia Pacific region, working with other Portfolio Specialists (Client Portfolio Managers), the Advisory Solutions team, and Relationship Managers (RMs)/Clients.

• Ensure an excellent client experience through training of front office RMs.

• Communicate with RMs/Clients as a client portfolio manager (standing in for PMs) in pitches and client portfolio reviews.

• Monitor and track development of AUM and PM penetration across the region and by RM. Analyze business data and highlight trends to assist with planning and strategic initiatives.

3. Co-lead business efforts to develop new products/mandates

• Collect feedback for product concepts, investor demand, and competitor analysis.

• Assist to prepare New Business Activity (NBAAR) proposals/submissions.

4. Assist to perform financial / portfolio / attribution analysis, including:

• Conducting broad portfolio/mandate level & account specific attribution and contribution analysis, on regular and ad hoc basis, with both in-house tools as well as MSCI Barra and Bloomberg.

• Helping to document the basis for investments, mandates, and portfolio strategies

5. Provide cross-team support in developing ESG strategies, products, methodologies.

• Co-perform ESG related analytics, monitoring and reporting.

• Collect and review sustainability related data, including market and industry info.

• Enhance PM Asia Pacific’s sustainability branding, promotion and marketing.

6. Assist with benchmark and GIPS related projects.

7. Guide, train, supervise junior staff.

Requirements

Essential Skills/Experience

• Degree holder or above in business disciplines

• At least 5 years working experience in Asset Management and preferably also in Private Banking in Asia

• Good command of written and spoken English, other languages a plus, including Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin), Thai, Japanese, German, Bahasa, etc.

• Analytical, proactive and positive attitude

• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently, multi-task, prioritize multiple projects, and manage strict deadlines

• Good stakeholder management skills - ability to develop and maintain strong and mutually supportive working relationships both inside and outside of immediate team.

• Work effectively in both local and regional team environment
