We are looking for an Inventory Control Clerk to join the US FOODS® team and play a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, product quality, and operational efficiency throughout our distribution center.

The pay for the position is $20.00 per hour.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM

As a US FOODS® Inventory Control Clerk, you will help maintain inventory levels and product quality by performing essential clerical and inventory control functions. Through accurate recordkeeping, inventory monitoring, and stock replenishment activities, you will help ensure inventory integrity, efficient shipping operations, and customer satisfaction.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous inventory control, warehouse, logistics, or clerical experience preferred.
• Familiarity with inventory control practices and HACCP requirements preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong math, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and basic computer proficiency.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the shift, with occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.

MAIN INGREDIENTS
Great Inventory Control Clerks are essential to maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting efficient warehouse operations. They demonstrate reliability, accountability, and a commitment to operational excellence.

• Compile records from ordering, shipping, receiving, and inventory transactions.
• Maintain accurate inventory records within warehouse management systems.
• Monitor stock levels and reorder requirements.
• Prepare and verify inventory replenishment requests.
• Support inventory audits, cycle counts, and quality control procedures.
• Research and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Maintain inventory documentation and filing systems.
• Communicate inventory concerns with warehouse leadership and purchasing teams.
• Perform additional clerical duties as assigned.

RELATIONSHIPS
 

Inventory Control Supervisor/Director – Provides daily direction, workload prioritization, and oversight of inventory control activities.
 

Warehouse Manager – Partners on inventory issues, shortages, and operational concerns.
 

Purchasing Department – Coordinates inventory levels, replenishment needs, and product quality matters.
 

External: None.

Compensation depends on relevant experience, education, skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. This role may also receive overtime compensation.
