Join the PDMA Process and Compliance Excellence Team for a 12-month internship in Basel.

This is your opportunity to gain hands-on experience in strategic planning, business and project management, process optimization, systems, AI and digital tools, as well as resource and knowledge management.

About the Team

The PDMA Process and Compliance Excellence Team operates across molecules, indications, and the broader Roche organization to uphold business integrity and ensure regulatory, medical, and healthcare compliance for the benefit of patients and society.

We engage across three key strategic pillars:

  • Patient-Centric Activities Governance & Scientific Rigor
  • Proactive Quality Management & Healthcare Compliance
  • Technology & Digital Compliance Systems

We leverage our diverse expertise and strategic partnerships to drive proactive quality and compliance, adapt processes to evolving business needs, and harness modern technology to enhance operational efficiencies.

Partnering seamlessly across Roche, we deliver high-impact solutions, oversight, and advisory support that enable Medical Affairs to succeed with integrity.

The Opportunity

This position focuses primarily on project management and execution, regulatory documentation readiness, process and compliance excellence support, and digital content migration and workspace redesign (Google Workspace to Microsoft 365).

As an intern in this role, you will support key strategic initiatives and work alongside team members to streamline regulatory documentation, modernize digital team sites, track project deliverables, and drive organizational efficiency.

Your Responsibilities

  • Project Management & Execution: Lead operational tracking for key strategic projects, with a primary focus on Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) revisions. Manage timelines, facilitate cross-functional meetings, and use project management tools to ensure deliverables are completed on time. The two main areas of focus will be Market Research and Patient Support Program (MAP) and Digital Customer Engagement and Listening Activity (DiCELA).
  • Systems & Content Migration: Drive document readiness and workspace transition activities from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365. Prepare migration checklists, perform quality control on documentation and assets, map current-to-future operational processes, execute manual content transfers, and assemble training, communication, and readiness materials.
  • AI Governance & Compliance Validation: Assist in building, testing, and documenting Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions within Process and Compliance Excellence, supporting both new model development and the validation readiness of existing tools. Map documentation gaps against quality and AI governance standards, track mitigation actions, and assemble review-ready evidence packages for subject matter expert (SME) and Quality closure.
  • Process Excellence Team Support: Assist the Process and Compliance Excellence Team in driving continuous improvement projects and strategic team initiatives.
