The Opportunity 

Ovintiv is seeking an Intern to support the Land Administration team while gaining practical experience in managing land data, mineral and royalty ownership, and contractual support. 

Internship: Comprehensive summer internship designed to provide a solid foundation of knowledge and experiential training while giving students the opportunity to apply what they are learning in school in a real-world setting. As an intern you will spend the summer working closely with an experienced mentor and be assigned a project and various other responsibilities intended to provide you with learning opportunities while delivering meaningful contributions to Ovintiv. 

Responsibilities 

Land Administration professionals support Ovintiv’s operations by maintaining accurate land, ownership, and contractual information. These roles work closely with Land, Legal, Accounting, Operations, and other teams to support lease and contract administration, mineral and royalty ownership analysis, compliance, data integrity, and the research and resolution of ownership, contract, and operational matters. 

Qualifications 

• Project management skills with ability to multi-task and prioritize work in a team environment. 

• Self-starter with motivation to excel. 

• Interest in learning land administration, ownership, lease and contract, or division order processes. 

• Strategic and proactive problem solver. 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  

• Ability to develop good working relationships with internal and external partners 

• Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience in Quorum Land Suite; Microsoft PowerBI and TIBCO Spotfire a plus. 

Required Qualifications 

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Energy Management, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, with an interest in the energy industry. 

• Must be enrolled as a full-time student through December 2027. 

• Must be available May 17 - August 6, 2027. 

• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship. 

In accordance with applicable law, the following represents Ovintiv's reasonable estimate of the hiring compensation range for this role: 

Internship Hiring Hourly Range: $22.81 - $31.59 USD 

Compensation may vary and will be determined by year in school.
