Job Title : Instrument Technician - Maintenance

Reporting to : Manager - Instrumentation

Entity : Evonik Catalysts India

Work Location : Dombivli

Purpose of the Position :

• Job measurements, Permit to Work issuing & closing, project execution.
• Keep engineering & project documentation update.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for coordinating and executing all engineering and project-related activities at the plant site.
• Plan, assign, and monitor daily instrumentation maintenance activities to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain and update ISO documentation, records, and compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, contractors, and engineering/production teams to ensure planned maintenance activities are completed within agreed timelines.
• Guide and supervise engineering contractors during project execution and ensure adherence to ESHQ standards and Permit to Work (PTW) requirements.
• Execute preventive maintenance (PM) and calibration plans for instrumentation systems and equipment.
• Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) investigations and provide technical inputs to identify and resolve equipment and process issues effectively.
• Attend and support all instrumentation and automation maintenance activities across the plant.
• Ensure reliability, availability, and safe operation of instrumentation and automation systems.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing plant efficiency, safety, and operational performance.

Education, Certification and/or Relevant Experience Required

• Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in instrumentation maintenance and automation within a chemical manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation systems, PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers), DCS (Distributed Control Systems), field instruments, control valves, analyzers, and automation systems.
• Experience in preventive maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and project execution related to instrumentation and automation.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a structured approach to troubleshooting.
