About the position
Electrical Facility Engineer is a member of Chevron’s ENGINE Facilities Designs Engineering team providing electrical designs support to Chevron's Refining and Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) assets. This role is responsible for supporting the troubleshooting, analysis and development of electrical engineering solutions for Chevrons complex process facilities. This role is part of the Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Designs Engineering team which provides remote technical support for operations, turnaround scope development, and projects.
Chevron ENGINE supports global operations, and work hours are aligned to business needs. Standard working hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday to Friday. These may evolve based on operational or busi
ness requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Provide electrical engineering support for process units within Chevron’s complex process facilities, working closely with Operations, Maintenance, and Technical teams to develop integrated, practical, and constructible solutions.
Support the Management of Change (MOC) process and deliver electrical engineering expertise in the design, troubleshooting, analysis, technical recommendations, and installation of electrical power system designs, including generation, distribution, protection, and control systems.
Provide technical oversight and assurance for electrical studies, calculations, specifications, and design deliverables.
Provide active remote support working with Operations and other technical teams to scope electrical repairs and troubleshoot issues in process plants.
Improve I&E Engineering tools and support the development and improvement of I&E Engineering work processes.
Support implementation of solutions through Routine Maintenance, Turnaround execution and projects.
Provide technical consultation, engineering review, vendor document reviews, technical bid evaluations and project management for small I&E capital projects.
Identify and manage technical risks, deviations, and change management related to electrical scope.
Leverage expertise and knowledge of electrical design codes, regulatory requirements, project specifications, Chevron and Industry Engineering standards, Safety in Designs, field construction, repair practices, process control and monitoring.
Strong understanding of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, large motors, VFDs, Power Management Load Shedding (PMLS) System, UPS systems, Motor Control Centers (MCC), and switchgear.
Experience with Low Voltage, Medium Voltage, and High Voltage Systems.
Ability to provide sound technical judgment and risk-based decision-making in a project environment.
Manage multiple projects and support deliverables concurrently, balancing priorities across projects and operations support.
Electrical load studies / load analysis (i.e. Short Circuit, Arc Flash, and Electrical System modelling studies (ETAP)), Electrical one-line diagrams, Hazardous Area Classification, Electrical equipment sizing and specifications, Electrical equipment inspection and test plans, Cable and cable support specifications, provide technical resolutions for TQs and field changes related to Electrical scope, maintaining alignment with approved designs and standards.

Preferred Qualifications:
8 years minimum experience, including 3 years site-based facility experience in a brownfield environment, as an Electrical Engineer directly supporting operations at a complex refinery, LNG facility or similar petrochemical environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering (B.E./B.Tech.) from a deemed/recognized (AICTE) university
