Position Summary:

This position will support the planning and delivery of the Innovation for Impact Competition, scheduled for March 2027. Working closely with the Program Manager, the selected candidate will contribute to student outreach, marketing, and event logistics to help ensure the success of the competition.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in expanding and maintaining a database of student clubs, associations, and other relevant student organizations, with a particular focus on the Desautels Faculty of Management, to support targeted promotion of the competition.
- Develop promotional and marketing materials for both digital and print distribution.
- Support recruitment and outreach efforts through activities such as information tabling and classroom visits during October and November 2026.
- Design and prepare winner recognition materials, including posters and graphics for publication on LinkedIn, the SGI website, and other communication channels.
- Provide on-site event support and logistical assistance during the competition on March 19, 2027, at the Dobson Centre for Entrepreneurship.
- Perform other event-related and administrative tasks as required to support competition planning and execution.

Workload: The workload for this position will vary throughout the appointment period, with busier periods expected during promotional campaigns and in the weeks leading up to the competition.

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities
- Registered McGill student in good academic standing at the undergraduate or graduate level.
- Demonstrated experience creating professional promotional materials and graphics for LinkedIn, social media platforms, websites, or other marketing channels.
- Experience supporting event planning, coordination, and logistics, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Familiarity with student engagement and outreach, including collaborating with student clubs, associations, and campus organizations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively promote initiatives and engage diverse student audiences.
- Proficiency with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent) is considered an asset.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
- Interest in sustainability, innovation, entrepreneurship, or student leadership programming is considered an asset.
