Objective of the position
In this role, you will track upcoming PPAP activities across multiple projects and make sure material data sheets are ready on time for customer submissions. You will ensure that products comply with global and regional material regulations such as RoHS, REACH, ELV, TSCA, and OEM requirements, while staying up to date on changing environmental regulations. Further, you will have the responsibility of creating, reviewing, and submitting IMDS records for products and components, validating supplier data, and resolving any missing or incorrect information.
You will also act as the main point of contact for IMDS and environmental compliance, working closely with suppliers, buyers, project teams, account managers, and customers.
Characterization of activities
- Track upcoming PPAP activities across projects and ensure material data sheets are prepared and available for customer submissions.
- Verify and ensure compliance with regional and global material regulations including RoHS, REACH, ELV, TSCA, and relevant OEM requirements.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of environmental and material regulations such as REACH, ELV, Conflict Minerals, RoHS, GADSL, and customer specifications.
- Create, validate, and submit IMDS records for products, components, and assemblies, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Review and validate supplier IMDS data, resolve data gaps, and support troubleshooting with suppliers as needed.
- Act as a key contact for IMDS and environmental compliance, collaborating with suppliers, buyers, project teams, account managers, and customers.
Education, experience and knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Materials Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 2–5+ years of experience in IMDS or comparable materials declaration systems and product/environmental compliance (preferred).
- Working knowledge of RoHS, REACH (including SVHC and SCIP), ELV, and other regional chemical and product regulations.
- Experience working with BOM and PLM systems and managing complex material and compliance data.
- Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office for data analysis, validation, and reporting.
- Strong in interpersonal communication, stakeholder management and excellent communication skills in (business) English.
