Join our team as an HSQE Manager / Técnico Superior de Segurança no Trabalho and support Q Energy’s growing construction and operational activities in Portugal, including PV plants, wind farms, battery storage, and other renewable energy projects.  

The role within the QHSE Iberia team provides HSQE support both on‑site and at the Porto or Lisbon office, covering compliance with legal and corporate requirements, risk management, internal audits and site inspections, internal trainings, and the implementation of QHSE management system standards.

Your responsibilities:

• Lead HQSE activities across the construction and delivery of PV projects in Portugal, ensuring compliance with Group standards and local regulations
• Act as the onsite HQSE expert, working closely with EPC teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
• Conduct site inspections, audits, risk assessments, and follow-up actions to identify and mitigate HQSE risks
• Support the implementation of HQSE procedures, processes, and tools throughout the project lifecycle
• Coordinate incident and near-miss reporting, investigations, non-conformities, and corrective actions 
• Oversee key HQSE activities, including training, medical examinations, PPE, waste management, and environmental compliance 
• Drive continuous improvement and contractor performance, sharing best practices and lessons learned across projects; support external audits and certifications when required
• Ensure compliance with applicable Portuguese HSE legislation across Porto and Lisbon offices and projects

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in HSQE Management or related degree, such as TSST certification (Técnico Superior de Segurança de Trabalho)
• At least 5 years of professional experience in the energy, construction or industry sectors
• Knowledge in having participated in setting up the processes for obtaining ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 is a plus
• Professional experience in internal auditing
• Exceptional organizational skills with a detail-oriented approach and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Willingness to travel regularly to our Porto office and project sites across Portugal
• Proficiency in both English, Portuguese is required. Fluency in Spanish is a plus
