We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HSE Lead, forming a critical part of our Truganina NDC leadership team, to partner with a variety of stakeholders to implement site specific HSSE initiatives to drive best practice, risk management and to continue to foster a strong safety culture.  Your passion for the coaching and development of others will proactively support our drive toward a culture of zero incidents and an optimum environmental footprint.  

This is ideal for HSE professionals with experience in FMCG manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics environments, to join Australian's No.1 Snacking Supplier.

How you will contribute

You will:

• Lead the implementation of all Health & Safety programs and processes for site
• Have a strong understanding of OHS Act, Regulations, and standards
• Provide support in maintaining the State Self-insurance through the maintenance of Risk Management systems, preparation for Self-insurance audits and closing out corrective actions where required.
• Act as the Health and Safety SME for all site projects and change management activities
• Follow up on non-conformances and develop the systems to resolve them based on root cause analysis
• Maintain an up-to-date incident reporting system, assist with investigating incidents in conjunction with the HSE Pillar team/safety committee and drive the completion of corrective actions to eliminate root causes/reoccurrence

• Have demonstrated experience in HSE roles within production, warehousing/logistics environments
• Proven experience leading/coaching the HSE agenda within a fast-paced operational environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with individuals at all levels
• A passion for the coaching and development of others
• Certificate IV in Workplace Health & Safety
• Tertiary education in an applicable field

Work schedule:

This is a Site based role - Monday to Friday.
