The Role and Responsibilities

 An exciting role has arisen within our Hose Workshop on site in Aberdeen for a Hose Technician. This is a permanent role reporting to the Workshop Supervisor. The role is responsible for the manufacturing of hydraulic and industrial hose assemblies. You will also be expected to carry out pressure testing in line with EnerMech procedures. Other duties and responsibilities will include;

• Ensuring workshop area is kept clean, tidy and safe and that all company equipment is kept in good order
• Ensuring project requirements are met within the time allocated
• Working as part of a team with members of the workshop and other departments
• Upholding the standards of the company and working in line with the company systems and objectives
• Participating in Tool Box Talks and Time Out For Safety briefs
• May be required to recommend possible solutions to problems identified with the customer hoses, applications or operating procedures and carry out remedial actions when appropriate
• May be required on the identification and use of appropriate fittings for specified hoses, as per customer specification

The Requirements

To be successful in this role you must have knowledge and previous experience in the manufacture, inspection and testing of flexible hose assemblies and have a basic understanding of hose manufacturing facilities. You must be able to perform varied assignments and you should be able to understand and interpret relevant standards and perform most tasks with minimal supervision.

It is preferred that you have a thorough working knowledge of hose assemblies so you can carry out tasks with minimal supervision and guide others if necessary.
