How You'll Help Us Make Health Happen
As a Healthcare Assistant, you'll provide high-quality clinical and administrative support to our dermatology service, ensuring patients receive safe, effective and compassionate care throughout their treatment journey.
You will:
- Support patients before, during and after dermatology consultations and procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms, equipment and sterile instruments.
- Assist clinicians with minor surgical procedures, biopsies, laser treatments and wound care.
- Apply dressings and provide post-procedure care under clinical direction.
- Take and manage clinical photographs where required.
- Maintain patient dignity, comfort and confidentiality at all times.
- Accurately maintain patient records and clinical documentation.
- Support clinic operations through appointment coordination, stock management and administrative tasks.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention, health and safety and clinical governance standards.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
- Completed Care Certificate.
- Previous experience working as a Healthcare Assistant within a healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with basic medical terminology.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and electronic patient record systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A professional, calm and compassionate approach to patient care.
Desirable
- Experience working in dermatology, outpatient or private healthcare settings.
- Experience assisting with minor surgical or aesthetic procedures.
- Dermatology-specific training.
- Safeguarding, Basic Life Support and Infection Prevention & Control training.
