Success in this role requires a strong understanding of diagnostics workflows and data, exceptional business acumen, and the ability to lead complex, global technology portfolios that advance business performance and differentiation.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Global Diagnostics and ZRL leadership to translate business priorities into clear, actionable technology roadmaps.
  • Lead the Diagnostics digital ecosystem, delivering integrated platforms across instruments, laboratory operations, data, integrations, and digital touchpoints.
  • Enable Diagnostics business development and acquisition activities by leading technology due diligence, integration strategy, and value realization.
  • Balance innovation and reliability within a regulated environment, establishing direction for modern technology architectures while maintaining compliance and business continuity.

IT Partnership and Business Alignment

  • Serve as the single point of accountability to Diagnostics leadership for technology initiatives, orchestrating ZTD delivery partners, external vendors, and platform teams to ensure successful execution.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key business stakeholders and leaders across ZTD.
  • Lead annual budget planning, quarterly forecasting, and monthly financial management across projects, products, and business-as-usual activities.
  • Ensure IT services, investments, and priorities align with business objectives and strategies.
  • Drive delivery of IT and digital initiatives on time and within budget in collaboration with internal and external delivery teams.
  • Establish and maintain high service levels through clearly defined KPIs and performance measurement.

Project Management and Delivery

  • Own end-to-end delivery outcomes across the Diagnostics technology portfolio, ensuring delivery teams remain aligned with strategic priorities, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Define capacity requirements and influence resource allocation across partner delivery organizations.
  • Drive execution excellence across multi-year initiatives while maintaining agility, reliability, quality, and operational readiness.
  • Lead acquisition-related technology initiatives in alignment with ZTD and Diagnostics priorities, timelines, budgets, and architecture strategy.
  • Define delivery KPIs, hold partners accountable, and establish effective vendor strategy and performance governance.

Stakeholder Collaboration and Alignment

  • Partner closely with global and regional business leaders to align digital strategies and technology investments with business goals.
  • Collaborate with ZTD Global Commercial leaders to make informed build-vs-buy decisions based on the competitive landscape and capabilities of existing teams.
  • Work across ZTD partner teams, including Enterprise Architecture, Commercial Architecture, Global Infrastructure, Information Security, DPE, DDA, and Compliance, to establish appropriate architecture guidelines and enable successful product delivery.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a global team of Diagnostics business partners, architects, and IT leaders while influencing a broader matrix of delivery teams across ZTD.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the team has the skills, capabilities, and resources required to achieve business objectives.
  • Manage the team in alignment with ZTD workforce strategy, including supporting the establishment and continued development of the India Capabilities Center.
  • Serve as an active member of the ZTD Leadership Council.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field required; master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in digital strategy, product management, technology leadership, or related disciplines.

  • Ability to develop and execute strategic technology plans across complex, global organizations.
  • Experience managing budgets, forecasts, and technology investments.
  • Strong understanding of security best practices, data privacy regulations, and compliance standards relevant to digital products in regulated industries.
  • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional and matrixed teams, including internal technology organizations, business stakeholders, and external partners.
