Position Summary:

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville Athletic Department, an NCAA Division III member of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC), is seeking applicants for the position of Head Men’s and Women’s Golf Coach. This position will provide leadership for both golf programs and will also serve the Athletic Department with secondary duties assigned by athletic administration.

This is a full-time, benefit and paid leave eligible position, with a salary of $50,000 per year.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Lead, plan and administer all phases of the NCAA Division III men’s and women’s golf programs with the utmost integrity and fiscal responsibility while developing successful programs to ensure competitive success at the conference, regional and national levels.
• Ensure student-athlete well-being, academic success and graduation
• Recruit and develop top student-athletes
• Roster management for both programs
• Fundraise
• Schedule management including, team travel, coordinating practice and competition arrangements with golf facilities
• Develop community and alumni support for the programs
• Equipment management
• Camp and clinic operations
• Hiring/supervision of assistant coach(es).
• Ensure knowledge and adherence to NCAA, WIAC and UW-Platteville rules, regulations and policies.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution
• Golf experience on the professional, collegiate or five years on the high school varsity level
• Organizational, written and oral communication skills
• Knowledge of computer applications for recruiting software and video breakdown
• Recruiting Pioneer Champions in Academics, Athletics, Wellness, and Life.
• Fundraising, event planning and camp experience
• Ability to travel frequently and to work non-traditional hours, including weekends, evenings and holidays
• Transferable skills, educational background, expertise serving in a Collegiate Athletic department
