As Head Golf Professional at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, you'll be the steady hand behind the golf shop and outside services operation that welcomes golfers from around the world. Bandon Dunes is a world-class golf resort located on the Oregon Coast near the charming community of Bandon. Guests come to experience golf as it was meant to be at Bandon Dunes' six distinct golf courses. That includes five 18-hole courses, which all rank among the top 16 public courses in the United States, according to Golf Digest. The resort is also home to two 'Courses with a Mission': Bandon Preserve, an award-winning par-3 course, and Shorty's, which opened in 2024. What You'll Do:
Lead the golf shop and outside services team. You'll plan schedules, set the tone for guest service, and coach golf shop staff, guest services, and the starter/ranger team to keep pace of play and service standards on point.
Own the guest experience from the first phone call. From booking tee times to handling questions and requests, you'll make sure every guest interaction, in person or on the phone, reflects the standard Bandon Dunes is known for.
Run the retail side of the operation. You'll oversee golf shop merchandising, purchasing, and inventory, and build sales programs that keep the shop stocked, presentable, and hitting its goals.
Manage the numbers behind the golf operation. You'll help build and track operating and capital budgets, monitor cash handling, and keep an eye on the financial performance of the areas you run.
Build the golf programs guests remember. You'll plan and lead individual and group lessons, clinics, and tournaments, and work with outside groups and associations to schedule outings.
Keep the operation running smoothly behind the scenes. That means opening, closing, and securing the shop and storage areas, keeping the handicapping system and driving range organized, and staying ahead of the details that guests never see but always feel.
