In addition to restaurants, a fitness studio, rooftop pool, in-house cinema and a spacious spa area, the hotel offers 65 rooms in various sizes, 20 flats and four lofts. In addition to Berlin and Great Britain, there are other houses in the USA, Toronto, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Istanbul and Mumbai. The SOHO HOUSE includes the concept store THE STORE X. THE STORE X is a platform for ideas and culture. The range includes fashion, art, design and also attracts a global community of creative people to 180 The Strand in London, Soho House Berlin and Soho Farmhouse in Oxfordshire. The role...

As Gym Supervisor, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the Soho House Health Club - Gym in Berlin, ensuring an exceptional experience for every member.

You will be a visible and approachable presence on the gym floor, combining strong operational leadership with a genuine passion for health, fitness and hospitality. You will support the management team in maintaining the highest standards across the facility while motivating and developing the fitness team to deliver warm, knowledgeable and consistent service.

The ideal candidate is confident leading a team, highly organised and commercially aware, with a natural ability to connect with members and create a welcoming environment. You understand that a great health club is about more than equipment and workouts — it is about community, service and making people feel at home.

Key Accountabilities...

Gym Operations

• Support the smooth day-to-day running of the Health Club, ensuring consistently high standards across the gym floor, changing rooms and member areas.
• Conduct regular floor walks and operational checks, ensuring equipment, facilities, cleanliness and presentation meet Soho House standards.
• Ensure all health, safety, hygiene and operational procedures are followed.
• Identify maintenance, equipment or operational issues and communicate these promptly to the relevant teams.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures and ensure appropriate staffing levels throughout operating hours.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of operational procedures and standards.

Member Experience

• Deliver a warm, engaging and personalised experience to members
• Build strong relationships with members and create a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere within the Health Club.
• Be highly visible and proactive on the gym floor, engaging with members and anticipating their needs.
• Handle member feedback, questions and concerns professionally, escalating issues where appropriate.
• Encourage members to make full use of the Health Club's facilities, services and fitness offering.
• Support member events, activations, classes and other Health Club initiatives.

Team Leadership

• Supervise and support the fitness team during daily operations.
• Lead by example, demonstrating excellent customer service, professionalism and knowledge.
• Assist with team training, onboarding and ongoing development.
• Support the management team with rotas, staffing and daily team organisation.
• Provide regular feedback and coaching to team members to maintain and improve performance.
• Help foster a positive, collaborative and inclusive team culture.

Fitness & Programming

• Maintain a strong knowledge of fitness, training principles and current industry trends.
• Support the delivery of a high-quality personal training and fitness offering.
• Monitor the quality and consistency of member interactions, fitness consultations and training sessions.
• Encourage best practice among trainers and ensure appropriate professional standards are maintained.
• Support the organisation and promotion of fitness initiatives, workshops and member programming.

Required Skills/Qualifications...

• Previous experience in a supervisory role within a gym, health club, fitness studio, hotel, wellness or premium hospitality environment.
• A recognised fitness qualification is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of gym operations, fitness training and health & safety.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine passion for hospitality and member service.
• Confident leading, motivating and developing a team.
• Highly organised, proactive and able to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable handling member feedback and resolving issues with professionalism and empathy.
• Commercially minded, with an understanding of membership and personal-training environments.
• A hands-on approach and willingness to be visible and active on the gym floor.
• Fluent German and strong English communication skills are highly desirable.
• Flexible to work a varied schedule, including mornings, evenings and weekends.
