We are looking for a GTM Systems Engineer to design, build and scale the systems that power Go1’s retention engine.This is a hands-on systems engineering role focused on architecture, data, integrations, automation and AI-enabled workflows. You will work across the GTM technology environment and partner closely with Customer Success, Implementation and Learning Services teams to solve the operational problems that most affect GRR, retention and customer value realisation. You will connect systems, improve data models, remove operational friction, introduce reliable automation and create intelligent workflows that help teams make better decisions and act earlier. As part of Go1’s AI-native business operations ambition, you will help shape how Customer Success operates in the future: combining human judgement with trusted data, automation and AI agents.
You will occasionally support existing systems and workflows when needed to keep the lights on. Your primary responsibility will be building a more scalable, intelligent and proactive operating model.
What You’ll Do
GTM Systems Engineering
- Design and improve the systems architecture supporting post-sales execution.
- Build scalable workflows that separate data, business logic and user experience.
- Reduce manual processes, fragmented ownership and unnecessary tooling complexity.
- Establish practical standards for reliability, maintainability, documentation and visibility.
- Translate operational problems into solutions that can be tested, adopted and improved.
Post-Sales Partnership
- Translate Customer Success priorities into scalable systems, workflows and technical solutions.
- Improve Customer Goals, success planning, account planning, stakeholder management, risk workflows, Business Reviews and renewal readiness.
- Support stronger customer value evidence and qualified expansion handoffs.
- Partner with Customer Success, Learning Services, IPM, Data and commercial teams to test and adopt new ways of working.
- Provide targeted support to existing operations when required to maintain continuity
Data, AI and Automation
- Create reliable foundations for reporting, decision-making and AI-enabled workflows.
- Build and maintain integrations using APIs, webhooks, workflow tools and other appropriate technologies.
- Improve data quality and ensure important customer and revenue signals are available where teams need them.
- Build AI-enabled workflows that help CSMs understand accounts, identify risk, prepare for renewals and act on customer signals.
- Connect AI capabilities to live business data and operational systems.
- Test agent experiences that reduce administrative work and improve the quality and speed of post-sales decisions.
- Explore how AI-native operators can work alongside CSMs, Customer Success leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Measure whether automation improves CSM capacity, signal quality, adoption, GRR and retention outcomes.
What You’ll Bring
You will have demonstrated ownership of meaningful systems, automation or integration problems and be ready to grow your impact across a broader operating environment.
- Experience in GTM Engineering, Revenue Systems, Revenue Operations, Business Systems or a similar hands-on technical role.
- Experience designing workflows, integrations, automations or data solutions across business systems.
- Understanding of post-sales processes including customer value realisation, health and risk, renewal readiness, retention and expansion.
- Experience with Salesforce or another core CRM or GTM platform.
- Experience with a Customer Success platform such as Gainsight, Totango, ChurnZero is - preferred but not essential.
- Practical experience with APIs, webhooks, automation platforms, data modelling, SQL, scripting or AI-enabled workflows - preferred but not essential.
- The ability to move from an ambiguous business problem to a working solution, test it with users and improve it based on evidence.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work across technical teams, Customer Success and commercial stakeholders.
- A practical approach to testing, iteration, documentation and adoption.
The Technology Environment
You will have the opportunity to work across a broad and evolving GTM systems environment, including:
- Salesforce and related CRM data, workflows and reporting.
- We use Gainsight as our Customer success platforms but experience in similar tools such as Totango, Planhat, ChurnZero, Vitally, Catalyst or equivalent will be considered as well.
- Gong and other conversation-intelligence platforms.
- Workato, n8n and other automation and integration tools.
- Databricks, SQL and other data and reporting platforms.
- APIs, webhooks, workflow tools and emerging AI and agent capabilities.
- Slack and the wider systems used by Customer Success and commercial teams.
Experience with every platform is not expected. We are interested in how you understand the operational outcome required, learn systems quickly and apply the appropriate technology to solve the problem.
What This Role Is Not
- A Customer Success platform administrator under a different title.
- A reporting-only or dashboard-focused operations role.
- A project manager coordinating technical work.
- A role limited to maintaining existing workflows.
