Group Senior Manager – Financial Crime Advisory

Location: Melbourne, Sydney or Perth

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Group Senior Manager – Financial Crime Advisory to join our Financial Crime Risk team.

Reporting to the Group General Manager – Financial Crime Governance, this senior leadership role is responsible for providing expert financial crime advisory support across Crown Resorts. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders, ensuring compliance with AML/CTF, ABAC and Sanctions obligations, as well as broader financial crime frameworks, while helping to strengthen Crown's risk management.

Leading a team of Financial Crime Advisory Managers across each of the Crown properties, you will play a critical role in establishing the Financial Crime Advisory strategy, influencing business decisions, managing regulatory risk, and driving a strong compliance culture throughout the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Crown's Financial Crime Advisory function, providing strategic oversight of financial crime risk management.

  • Partner with senior leaders across the business to identify, assess and manage financial crime risks.

  • Drive the implementation of regulatory reforms, policy enhancements and compliance initiatives.

  • Provide expert advice on new business initiatives, projects and operational changes to ensure risks are effectively managed.

  • Lead and develop a high-performing Financial Crime Advisory team across multiple locations.

  • Build strong stakeholder relationships and act as a trusted advisor to business and Financial Crime leaders.

  • Oversee financial crime incidents, regulatory events and governance activities, ensuring effective escalation and resolution.

  • Maintain AML/CTF risk awareness training framework.

  • Deliver financial crime awareness training and education activities, promoting a strong compliance culture across the business.

  • Champion a strong culture of compliance, risk awareness and continuous improvement across Crown Group.

  • Ensure business stakeholders understand their financial crime obligations and responsibilities.
     

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Extensive experience in Financial Crime Compliance (AML/CTF, ABAC and/or Sanctions) in a leadership role.

  • Deep understanding of Australia's AML/CTF regulatory environment and financial crime risk management obligations.

  • Proven ability to influence, challenge and partner with senior leaders to drive positive risk and compliance outcomes.

  • Demonstrated success leading and developing high-performing teams through change, growth and regulatory reform.

  • Strong strategic mindset, with the ability to identify emerging risks and translate complex issues into practical business solutions.

  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with the ability to build trust across diverse business functions.

  • Experience operating within banking, financial services, gaming, wagering, casinos or other highly regulated industries is highly regarded.

  • Tertiary qualification in Law, Business, Finance, Risk, Criminology or a related discipline.

  • Professional certifications such as CAMS or equivalent are highly desirable.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain the required Casino Employee Licences.
