Your graduate journey

On our Relationship Management Graduate Programme, you’ll quickly build the skills and confidence to work with a wide range of businesses. You’ll learn how to understand customers, spot opportunities, and deliver solutions that help them achieve their ambitions, all while developing key skills for a long-lasting career.

Over the course of this two-year programme with three rotations, you can expect to:

• Build your confidence working with customers and colleagues, supporting meetings, preparing insights, and contributing to day-to-day relationship management activity across teams
• Develop an understanding of how different teams collaborate, working with colleagues across coverage, product and support areas to deliver joined-up outcomes for customers
• Undertake a dedicated Product placement to build practical experience across product strategy, development, launch and growth.
• Build an understanding of how different businesses operate and what matters to them, developing your knowledge of customer segments and how relationship managers support their needs day-to-day
• Develop your analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, learning how to interpret customer information and contribute to solutions that support their goals
• Gain insight into how digital tools and AI are evolving customer experiences, and how they’re applied in a commercial banking environment
• Gain experience, knowledge and skills across Business Banking and Commercial Mid-Market teams; building an understanding of how relationship management, digital banking and transaction banking products come together to support customers
• Develop your understanding of relationship management, commercial banking, lending and risk, alongside key capabilities in communication, data and digital

Entry requirements

To be eligible for our Commercial Banking – Relationship Management graduate programme, you’ll need:

• To have, or be on course to achieving a 2:1 in your degree
• A deep sense of curiosity
• Analytical skills
• To enjoy collaborating with others and working as part of a team
• A proactive and resourceful approach to your work
• To be a keen problem solver
• Good attention to detail
