Job Summary:
Entry-level development role for a recent graduate with little or no professional experience. Through supervised assignments in Procurement, Expediting, and Inventory Control, the Graduate, Commercial supports the flow of materials and information from purchasing through delivery and inventory availability for Cobre Panamá operations. The role develops practical skills in supplier coordination, ERP records, inventory planning, and controls while following Group policies, applicable statutory requirements, and site procedures.

Responsibilities:
•  Support routine procurement activities, including Easy Item, Easy Vendor, and Easy Prepayment requirements, under the guidance of the Procurement team.

•  Assist Procurement officers with non-routine purchasing activities, reporting, and coordination with internal stakeholders and suppliers.

•  Monitor open purchase orders, confirm delivery dates with suppliers, follow up on delays, and escalate critical or overdue orders.

•  Coordinate delivery requirements with Procurement, Warehousing, and end users; help resolve supplier inquiries regarding overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D).

•  Update purchasing and delivery status, supplier follow-up notes, and relevant transaction records accurately in the ERP system.

•  Support inventory planning by reviewing consumption trends, replenishment needs, and stock levels for operational materials.

•  Assist with the creation, maintenance, cleansing, and standardization of material master records in line with data governance procedures.

•  Participate in physical inventory counts, reconciliations, and assurance activities, including applicable controls for regulated materials.

•  Prepare or contribute to reports on order status, supplier responsiveness, delivery performance, inventory accuracy, and related KPIs.

•  Complete assigned learning activities and deliverables on schedule, following quality, safety, environmental, and Commercial procedures.

Qualifications:
•  Recently graduated in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

•  No prior professional experience required; relevant internships or academic projects are desirable.

•  Basic understanding of purchasing, supplier management, logistics flows, inventory concepts, and warehouse operations.

•  Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including basic Excel; familiarity with ERP systems such as JDE or Oracle is desirable.

•  Basic English, strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and ability to work with multicultural teams and operational stakeholders.
