We're seeking someone to join our team as a Global Financial Crimes: Negative News / PEP Screening Lead in Global Financial Crimes to Lead the strategy, governance, and optimization of KYC risk-ranking and screening controls, leveraging advanced analytics and technology to enhance financial crime detection, regulatory compliance, and operational effectiveness across the Firm.

In the Legal & Compliance division, we assist the Firm in achieving its business objectives by facilitating and overseeing the Firm's management of legal, regulatory and franchise risk. This is a VP level position within the Global Financial Crimes: Know Your Customer (KYC) team which is responsible for the governance and oversight of the Firm's KYC program, including KYC policy and standards, Enterprise Customer Risk Ranking (ECRR), Negative News and PEP screening, data governance, enhanced due diligence, regulatory engagement, and monitoring of first-line execution. The function ensures that KYC controls remain effective, risk-based, compliant with regulatory requirements, and supported by robust governance and reporting.

What you'll do in the role:

- Lead the strategic enhancement and governance of KYC controls, including ECRR, Negative News Screening (NNS), and PEP screening programs.
- Drive screening model tuning, calibration, and optimization to improve risk detection, coverage, and operational efficiency.
- Leverage AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics to strengthen screening effectiveness, alert prioritization, and workflow automation.
- Partner across Compliance, Technology, Data Science, Operations, and Model Risk Management to implement and govern control enhancements.
- Analyze complex datasets to identify emerging risks, performance trends, data quality issues, and opportunities for control improvements.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators, model effectiveness metrics, and governance standards to ensure regulatory readiness and defensibility.
- Lead assessments related to regulatory changes, new products, acquisitions, and evolving financial crime risks, translating impacts into sustainable control enhancements.
- Support audits, regulatory examinations, and senior management reporting by providing clear analytics, model rationale, and strategic recommendations.

What you'll bring to the role:

- 7+ years of experience in AML, KYC, financial crime compliance, screening analytics, model governance, or risk management within financial services or consulting.
- Demonstrated expertise in screening model tuning, calibration, optimization, and governance across adverse media, PEP, sanctions, and customer risk-rating programs.
- Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives spanning Compliance, Technology, Data, Operations, and Business stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of financial crime screening platforms, data providers, and emerging technologies, including AI, machine learning, NLP, and advanced analytics.
- Advanced analytical and technical skills, including proficiency in SQL, Python, data analysis, and model performance measurement across large datasets.
- Deep understanding of AML, KYC, sanctions, adverse media, and PEP screening requirements, regulatory expectations, and industry best practices.
- Experience supporting model risk management, regulatory examinations, audits, technology implementations, and Agile delivery frameworks.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and translate complex analyses into actionable business outcomes.

Please note that the location listed for this role is temporary. The position’s work location will transition to 1445 Ross Ave, Dallas, TX 75202 at a future date. In-Person interviews will be required for the role.
