The Opportunity

As Allegro's Director of Worldwide Field Application Engineering, you will be responsible for leading the company's global FAE organization to drive technical solutions, maximize customer design wins, and ensure technical expertise is scaled globally across all regions. You will be a strategic leader who ensures optimal customer assistance and accelerates socket identification to drive revenue growth.

What You Will Do

Strategic Leadership

• Create and implement an operating strategy for the global FAE organization to align with corporate goals, regional sales strategies, and customer success initiatives

• Establish a vision for technical excellence that differentiates Allegro in the automotive and industrial semiconductor markets

• Drive the "One Allegro" philosophy by ensuring technical resources are deployed efficiently across high-priority global accounts

• Build, train, and develop a high-performing, globally distributed team of FAEs, ensuring technical expertise and capability are scaled across all regions (North America, Europe, Japan, Korea)

• Foster a culture of continuous learning and mentorship to maintain a best-in-class technical support organization

• Build strong relationships with regional sales leadership and ensure FAE teams are integrated as strategic partners in regional account management and growth plans

• Identify and develop regional technical leaders capable of operating independently while aligned to global strategy; build bench strength for succession planning

• Coordinate technical resource allocation and expertise sharing across regions to support complex, multi-regional customer projects and accelerate deal closure

• Partner closely with each Product Business Unit leadership to ensure FAE strategy aligns with product roadmaps, go-to-market plans, and revenue forecasts

• Lead technical training initiatives for sales teams, channel partners, and customers; ensure readiness on new products, capabilities, and best practices

• Serve as a bridge between field-based technical experts and corporate technical strategy, ensuring field insights shape innovation and product development

What You Will Bring

Required Experience & Expertise

• 15+ years of progressive experience in pre- and post-sales Field Applications Engineering

• Minimum 7+ years of hands-on leadership experience building, developing, and managing large, globally distributed technical teams

• Demonstrated semiconductor industry experience

• Proven track record of successfully managing technical teams across multiple regions and cultures with different business practices and customer requirements

• Track record of identifying, developing, and closing design-win and design-in opportunities in automotive, industrial, or similar high-reliability markets

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders (C-suite, Board) and drive alignment across different functional groups and regions

• Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation); ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences (engineers, business leaders, customers, analysts)

• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills; ability to navigate complex, ambiguous situations and drive to resolution

• Data-driven approach to decision-making with experience in sales funnel analysis, technical performance reporting, and business intelligence

• Willingness and ability to travel globally to support regional operations (20-30% travel, including quarterly visits to Europe, Japan, and Korea)

• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple regions and functions

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or related technical field; advanced degree (Master's or MBA) preferred

• Previous experience at a semiconductor company with automotive/industrial focus

• Executive presence and track record of influence at C-suite level

• Experience with SAP, Salesforce, or other enterprise systems
