The primary responsibility of the General Manager is to drive sustainable, profitable growth across multiple operational sites by providing strategic leadership and hands-on operational support. The General Manager leads, coaches, and develops Division Managers to ensure high performance, alignment with company objectives, and consistency in execution. In the absence of a Division Manager, the General Manager assumes direct oversight of that division’s operations. This high-impact role is approximately 60% Strategic and 40% Tactical, with a strong focus on operational excellence, customer satisfaction, safety, and talent development.

• Hold full P&L accountability across multiple divisions, ensuring each achieves its revenue, margin, cost control, and growth targets.
• Translate corporate strategic objectives into divisional plans; align and support execution through Division Managers.
• Monitor financial performance across all sites; implement corrective action plans when divisions underperform.
• Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and accountability for Division Managers to ensure consistency in operations, customer satisfaction, and performance.
• Step in as acting Division Manager when needed, ensuring seamless leadership continuity.
• Standardize and share operational best practices across sites to drive continuous improvement and eliminate inefficiencies.
• Ensure consistent execution of safety, quality, production, and delivery standards across all divisions.
• Build a high-performance leadership culture by mentoring Division Managers and identifying future leadership potential within each site.
• Support Division Managers in building strong customer relationships and understanding emerging needs in their local markets.
• Collaborate with sales and business development teams to identify growth opportunities, support RFQ processes, and drive customer satisfaction across divisions.
• Represent the business in key customer meetings and contract negotiations, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and customer expectations.
• Ensure all divisions maintain rigorous compliance with safety, health, environmental, and regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
• Drive a safety-first culture by modeling expectations and ensuring site leaders embed safety into daily operations.
• Lead division-wide initiatives for operational excellence, cost reduction, and lean transformation.
• Ensure each division implements effective continuous improvement programs and tracks performance through defined KPIs and business metrics.
