As a GCP Architect - Director, you will lead the design and implementation of innovative cloud solutions within our Software and Product Innovation practice. Your role will involve collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver cutting-edge software engineering projects that meet client needs. As a Director, you will set the strategic direction and lead business development efforts, making impactful decisions and overseeing multiple projects while maintaining executive-level client relations. You will be instrumental in driving business growth, shaping client engagements, and mentoring the next generation of leaders.

Responsibilities

- Leading the design and implementation of cloud-based solutions using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) architecture
- Overseeing software engineering projects to drive innovation and product development
- Managing client relationships and providing strategic guidance on cloud engineering and data analytics
- Utilizing programming languages such as Java, Python, and C++ to develop scalable applications
- Implementing Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to enhance software development processes
- Conducting code reviews and confirming adherence to coding standards for quality software delivery
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate enterprise applications and improve business processes
- Developing microservices architecture to support agile and responsive application frameworks
- Facilitating business requirements analysis and translating them into functional software solutions
- Promoting the adoption of Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD) methodologies for improved software testing and validation

What You Must Have

- At least a Bachelor's degree
- At least 17 years of experience
- Oral and written proficiency in English required

- 17+ years of experience in IT architecture or software engineering.

- 10+ years of hands-on GCP experience in architecture design and implementation.

- Mastery of GCP architecture design spanning all core Google Cloud Architecture Framework pillars.

- Proven track record leading enterprise-scale cloud architecture programs.

- Extensive experience with complex cross-service integrations (REST, gRPC, OpenAPI, API Gateway/Apigee, Pub/Sub, Managed Service for Apache Kafka, Cloud Tasks, Workflows, Eventarc).

- Expert-level proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Config Connector, Deployment Manager).

- Strategic experience in FinOps, cost governance, and performance engineering using Cloud Billing reports, the Recommender, and Budgets & Alerts.

- Experience architecting multi-project Landing Zones with Resource Manager, Organization Policy Service, and the Cloud Foundation Toolkit.

- Strong understanding of application security, identity management (Cloud IAM, Cloud Identity, Identity Platform), and cloud governance (Security Command Center, Assured Workloads, Policy Intelligence).

- Hands-on experience designing GenAI/agentic architectures using Vertex AI, Gemini, RAG pipelines, and Vector Search.

- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

- Proven ability to drive architectural decisions at the executive level.

- Knowledge of Agile Methodology and Practices.

- Deep experience with microservices architecture, serverless patterns, distributed system design, and event-driven design.
