Amentum is seeking a Galley Warehouse Supervisor to support a unique US Navy program on the island of Diego Garcia. The Galley Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the galley warehouse to ensure the efficient receipt, storage, inventory control, and distribution of food service supplies, equipment, and Government Furnished Property. This position supervises warehouse personnel, ensures compliance with government property accountability requirements, and maintains warehouse operations in accordance with applicable regulations, safety standards, and organizational policies.

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise the daily operations of the galley warehouse, ensuring efficient receiving, storage, inventory control, and distribution of supplies and materials.
• Coordinate warehouse activities to support uninterrupted galley and food service operations.
• Review and verify the accuracy of daily receiving reports, shipping logs, inventory transactions, and warehouse documentation.
• Receive, inspect, store, stack, palletize, and prepare materials for shipment in accordance with established procedures.
• Remove materials from storage and coordinate the preparation of outbound shipments.
• Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, shortages, overages, and visible damage, reporting discrepancies to management as required.
• Maintain accountability and proper management of Government Furnished Property in accordance with applicable federal regulations.
• Ensure warehouse operations comply with Federal Acquisition Regulation, Defense Contract Management Agency, and other applicable government property management requirements.
• Coordinate government property disposition and disposal activities in accordance with established procedures.
• Utilize handheld scanners, inventory management systems and computerized warehouse management systems to process inventory transactions.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper documentation is completed and filed according to established procedures.
• Train, supervise, mentor, and provide daily direction to Warehouse personnel.
• Monitor warehouse organization, housekeeping, and material storage to maximize efficiency and safety.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned that are consistent with the nature and level of the position.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of four (4) years of warehouse experience, preferably in government, military, logistics, or supply operations.
• Experience using handheld barcode scanners and computerized warehouse management systems.
• Advanced knowledge of Government Furnished Property management and accountability.
• Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation governing government property.
• Familiarity with government property disposal procedures.
• Experience with Defense Logistics Agency, Defense Disposition Services, and Defense Contract Management Agency etools.
• Must be in possession of a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.
• Passport must be valid for a minimum of one (1) year or more at the time of hiring.
• Ability to obtain country-specific visas per the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide.
• Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain compliance throughout the duration of deployment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. 
• Employees must read, speak, and comprehend English to the extent that they can perform the contract requirements and comply with installation emergency procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience working in an austere OCONUS (Outside the Continental United States) environment with a multi-national workforce
• A valid driver’s license to legally operate a motor vehicle. Valid country driver’s license. and passport.
• Previous supervisory or team lead experience in warehouse or logistics operations.
• Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Working Environment

This position is located on Diego Garcia, British Indian Ocean Territory (BIOT), a remote overseas location supporting U.S. Government operations. Employees may work in office, industrial, warehouse, port, airfield, and outdoor environments and may be exposed to high temperatures, humidity, inclement weather, noise, dust, and uneven terrain. Work schedules may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on operational requirements.

Physical Requirements

 Requirements may include prolonged sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting up to 25 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally, and working in both indoor and outdoor environments. Must be able to meet all medical, security, and deployment requirements associated with assignment to a remote overseas location.
