Details of the Division and Team:

The FX Execution Advisory team supports the growth of Deutsche Bank’s electronic foreign exchange franchise across APAC. The team partners with clients, RMS Sales, Trading, Product and Technology to improve electronic execution, increase client adoption and convert flow intelligence into commercial opportunities.

The role combines client engagement, sales enablement and flow analysis. The successful candidate will help clients resolve day-to-day electronic execution issues, identify opportunities to migrate activity from voice to electronic channels, and provide actionable insights that deepen client relationships and increase Deutsche Bank’s share of wallet.

You can expect:

• Provident Fund:  the Bank will contribute 25% towards the EPF. These rates are subject to change in accordance with the amendments made to the EPF Trust duly approved by the statutory authority.  

• Employees Trust Fund: the Bank will contribute 3% of the basic salary towards the Employees Trust Fund (E.T.F.).  This rate is subject to change in accordance with the statutory limits as declared by the Government of Sri Lanka.

• Gratuity : You will be entitled to Gratuity, on resignation/separation/retirement from Bank (after completion of 5 years continued service).

Your key responsibilities:

1. eFX Revenue Generation and Client Engagement

• Engage with clients to understand their electronic execution requirements, explain platform and product capabilities, including algorithms, address workflow questions and encourage greater e-adoption.

• Work with clients to resolve day-to-day execution and connectivity issues, coordinating with the FX Execution Services team and relevant internal partners to maintain business continuity.

• Analyse APAC client flows across execution channels to identify under-trading clients, product gaps and missed volume opportunities.

• Identify points of flow attrition, including platform rejects, low hit ratios and competitor wins, and translate the findings into targeted sales actions.

• Generate concise, actionable insights that help RMS Sales strengthen client engagement, increase electronic penetration and grow Deutsche Bank’s share of wallet.

2. FX Flow Execution Efficiency, Monitoring and Analysis

• Track client electronic-flow penetration, identify and escalate blockers, and work with Product and Technology teams to drive resolution.

• Capture and analyse voice-traded flows to maintain a complete view across channels and identify suitable opportunities for migration to electronic execution.

• Monitor key execution indicators, client behaviour and channel performance to identify service, pricing or workflow improvements.

• Guide RMS Sales on electronic setup requirements and provide training and practical support for new product, platform and workflow roll-outs.

• Maintain clear records of issues, opportunities and follow-up actions to support effective execution and stakeholder accountability.

3. Stakeholder Collaboration

• Partner with Trading, Product, Technology and Sales to prioritise enhancements supported by client feedback and flow intelligence.

• Present flow insights clearly to internal stakeholders, helping shape product roadmaps, service improvements and commercial actions.

• Coordinate across regional and global teams to ensure consistent client support, timely issue resolution and effective implementation of eFX initiatives.

• Contribute to management information, client reviews, business updates and presentations for senior stakeholders.

Your skills and experience:

• University degree, preferably in finance, economics, business administration, technology or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

• Relevant experience in FX, eFX, markets sales, execution advisory, client service, business management or data analysis within financial services.

• Working knowledge of FX products and electronic execution channels; familiarity with spot, forwards, swaps, NDFs and algorithmic execution is advantageous.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret client-flow and execution data, identify patterns and convert findings into practical sales actions.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data visualisation or analytical tools is advantageous. Should be comfortable with use of AI tools.

• Client-focused and solutions-oriented approach, with the ability to manage day-to-day issues calmly and coordinate effective resolution across teams.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to stakeholders at different levels of seniority.

• Motivated team player with strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural, cross-functional environment.

• High standards of integrity and discipline, with due consideration for conduct, operational, financial and reputational risk.

• Curiosity about technology, electronic markets and the practical use of AI and automation tools to improve analysis and productivity.
