As Fund Finance Associate, you will support EQT's private equity buyout and early stage strategies. Based in Luxembourg, you will assist with investor reporting and help manage day-to-day relationships with external service providers. About the Fund Control team
The Fund Control team is part of EQT's global Fund Finance function and supports fund accounting and reporting across EQT's private markets strategies within Private Capital and Real Assets.
This role will primarily support flagship buyout and early stage strategies. You will work closely with investment services, fundraising and other relevant internal stakeholders, as well as external fund administrators and auditors.
The team is based in Luxembourg and collaborates closely with colleagues across Europe, Asia and the Americas.
About the role
As Fund Finance Associate, you will support fund control activities for private equity funds. You will assist in reviewing reporting outputs, help track transaction flows and support the delivery of clear and accurate investor information across three core components: portfolio valuations, fund expenses and fee elements.
This role requires strong attention to detail, good organizational skills and the ability to manage recurring reporting cycles in a high volume environment, with support from senior team members.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Support the review of deliverables from external fund administrators for private equity funds.
- Assist in recording and reporting investments, divestments and other fund transactions.
- Support quarterly and annual investor reporting, including portfolio valuations, expense allocations and fee calculations (carried interest & management fees).
- Help coordinate year end audits and support completion in line with partnership agreement timelines.
- Support fund distributions and drawdowns together with external fund administrators.
- Partner with investment, legal, compliance and investor relations teams on day-to-day queries.
- Contribute ideas to improve processes, controls and reporting tools as fund activity evolves.
- Support the team in responding to fund-related queries from internal and external stakeholders.
The role works closely with senior fund control team members and offers the opportunity to develop ownership of assigned funds over time.
About you
You bring a strong sense of accountability and enjoy working in a structured, detail-oriented way. You are comfortable managing a high volume of recurring deliverables while maintaining quality and clarity. You collaborate well across teams and communicate confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You are proactive, organized and eager to learn. You value continuous improvement and are motivated by contributing to reliable, transparent reporting for investors.
Essential skills and experience
- 3 to 5 years of experience in fund accounting, private markets finance or audit.
- Experience working with private capital, venture, growth or similar fund structures is a plus.
- Good understanding of fund financial statements, capital accounts, valuations, expenses and fee mechanisms.
- Familiarity with IFRS/US GAAP and Lux GAAP is an advantage.
- Exposure to reviewing deliverables from third-party fund administrators is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or a related field.
- Fluency in English.
Nice to have
- Professional qualification (or in progress) such as ACCA or ACA.
- Proficiency in Dutch, French or German.
