. MUFG Global Service Private Limited (MGS) is seeking a highly motivated Assistant Vice President – Front End Developer to support MUFG Securities Asia (MUS Asia) technology initiatives.

This role focuses on designing and building web-based user interfaces, dashboards, and operational platforms that enable automation, workflow execution, and real-time operational visibility.

The successful candidate will contribute to the development of a centralized automation platform, working with Glyph (web UI layer) integrated with Atlas (automation engine), to transform manual and Excel-based processes into scalable, secure, and user-friendly web applications.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role, responsible for delivering high-quality front-end solutions and supporting both new platform development and BAU enhancements.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Front End Development & UI Engineering

• Design and develop modern web applications, dashboards, and operational portals using JavaScript and related technologies
• Build scalable and secure user interfaces for:
  • Workflow execution
  • Monitoring dashboards
  • Reporting and analytics
• Ensure strong focus on usability, performance, and responsive design

2. Platform Development (Glyph UI Layer)

• Contribute to development and enhancement of Glyph (web-based UI platform)
• Develop UI components that enable:
  • Workflow visibility and control
  • Monitoring and alert dashboards
  • User-triggered automation processes
• Integrate front-end components with backend services and Atlas automation engine

3. Transformation of Manual Processes (Key Responsibility)

• Convert manual and Excel-based processes (macros, Power Query outputs) into web-based applications
• Work closely with backend/automation teams to:
  • Provide UI for automated workflows
  • Replace fragmented tools with centralized web solutions
• Improve user experience and eliminate dependency on manual processes

4. System Integration

• Integrate front-end applications with backend systems using APIs
• Support data display and interaction for:
  • Monitoring tools (ION, SolarWinds)
  • Ticketing systems (ServiceNow)
  • Finance and workflow platforms
• Handle data rendering for structured and semi-structured datasets

5. Project Delivery & Collaboration

• Collaborate with:
  • Project Managers
  • Business Analysts
  • Backend developers and automation engineers
  • QA / Testing teams
• Support SIT and UAT testing cycles, including defect resolution
• Manage change requests and enhancement priorities

6. Quality Assurance & Governance

• Ensure compliance with MUFG IT standards, security, and governance controls
• Participate in code reviews and enforce front-end best practices
• Promote secure coding, performance optimization, and maintainability

7. BAU Support & Maintenance

• Monitor application performance, usage, and user feedback
• Provide support for incidents, issues, and enhancements
• Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive improvements
• Apply patches, updates, and ongoing improvements to maintain platform stability

8. Documentation & Operational Readiness

• Prepare and maintain:
  • Technical design documentation
  • UI specifications and user guides
• Support deployment, knowledge transfer, and handover to support teams
• Ensure documentation meets operational and audit requirements

9. Continuous Improvement & Innovation

• Identify opportunities to:
  • Improve UI/UX and operational efficiency
  • Enhance platform capabilities and scalability
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot) to improve productivity and code quality
• Contribute to broader automation and digital transformation initiatives within MUS Asia

Job Requirements:

• 8–10 years of experience in front-end or full-stack development (with strong UI focus) in enterprise environments
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and modern web development frameworks
• Experience building dashboards, operational portals, and workflow-based UI applications

Core Technical Skills

• Hands-on experience with Node.js (for application serving and API integration)
• Experience building UI for:
  • Monitoring systems
  • Ticketing / workflow tools
  • Operational and reporting platforms
• Proven experience modernizing:
  • Excel/macros and EUC tools into web-based applications

Integration & Platform Skills

• Experience integrating front-end applications with backend APIs
• Familiarity with:
  • Data visualization
  • Dashboarding tools (Grafana-style concepts)
  • Handling time-series / operational data
• Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., Azure)

Delivery & Tools

• Solid understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
• Minimum 2 years’ experience using GitHub Copilot or AI-assisted development tools
• Experience working in support + enhancement + project delivery environments

Education & Soft Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work with cross-functional and offshore teams
