Job Duties
Manage/assist to manage discretionary private and institutional clients’ global multi-asset investment portfolios, including custom mandates.
Portfolio Manager would have direct responsibility for a collection of multi-asset class mandates; however, most mandates are managed based on model portfolios with tactical asset allocation determined by the Investment Committee Asia.
Lead manage one or more investment strategies (mandate and/or fund). Possibly also co-manage other portfolios, with a team of professionals.
Analyze, research, recommend investments, either based on asset class, region, or sector/industry.
Prepare written & verbal rationale and justification for trades.
Present and market the investments strategies (mandate/fund).
Perform third party fund and single securities investment research and provide views.
Continuously monitor and evaluate portfolio performance, making timely adjustments and recommendations as required to optimize returns and align with clients' objectives.
Participate as a voting member of the Investment Committee Asia.
Contribute to the development and adjustment of “house” investment strategy, including with respect to a specific asset class (e.g., equities/fixed income/ currencies/commodities) for clients mainly in Asia, but also Europe/Worldwide.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates on portfolio performance, addressing inquiries, and delivering exceptional client experience.
Meet with clients and prospects to pitch funds/mandates, conduct portfolio reviews, provide investment strategy, direction, product updates.
Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including relationship managers (RMs), other PMs, investment advisors, compliance officers, leveraging collective expertise to deliver comprehensive investment solutions.
Assist to prepare in-house communication in relation to relevant investments.
Assist with performance attribution, portfolio analysis, ad-hoc work projects.
Promote LGT’s culture and values during interaction with clients and staff.
Requirements
Requirement
Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field; CFA or similar professional qualification preferred
Minimum of 10 years of direct investment related experience, prior private banking experience also preferred.
Self-starter, with ability to self-motivate and take on new tasks with initiative.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management
Fluency in English required. Mandarin, Taiwanese, Cantonese language skills a plus, as are Japanese, Thai, Bahasa, German, French.
Avaloq proficiency greatly valued.
