We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter & Turner to join our Workshop Team in Acacia Ridge, QLD.

In this hands-on role, you will maintain, repair and overhaul a range of rotating and fixed plant equipment, both in our workshop and at customer sites.

You must be willing and able to undertake site-based work as required across the greater Southeast Queensland area. A company vehicle & fuel card will be provided.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Maintain, repair and overhaul pumps, shafts, mechanical seals and other rotating equipment.
• Assemble new components including driveshafts and air brakes
• Use workshop equipment including balances, presses, lathes, mills
• Replace bearings and mechanical seals, complete pump alignments, and undertake other tasks as allocated by the Supervisor.
• Prioritise the safety of people, plant and the environment in all work activities.
• Identify and communicate hazards, equipment issues and faults to support smooth operations.
• Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Who are you?

• Demonstrated experience working as a Fitter & Turner in a heavy industrial environment is essential.

• Experience with Pumps, Mechanical Seals and Other Rotating Equipment is important.
• Flexible and adaptable as the business requires, and able to work under Minimal Supervision.

• Computer literate: Intermediate level using MS office and email.
• Knowledge of mechanical seals, Shaft Laser Alignments and condition monitoring advantageous.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to complete maintenance records and documentation accurately.
• Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter & Turner or equivalent relevant qualification.
• Current relevant licences, tickets or certifications, such as forklift, confined space, working at heights or EWP. Medium Rigid
