Job Description

The FP&A Analyst, Reporting & Process Enhancement, supports the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of financial reporting, management dashboards, and planning processes. This role partners with Finance, Accounting, and business stakeholders to enhance reporting capabilities, streamline manual processes, and improve the delivery of financial insights.

The ideal candidate is analytically curious, detail-oriented, and interested in leveraging technology and process improvement techniques to make financial reporting more efficient, accurate, and impactful.

Primary Responsibilities

Reporting & Analytics

  • Prepare recurring management reports, financial dashboards, and performance scorecards.

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting processes.

  • Maintain reporting packages used by senior management and business leaders.

  • Gather, validate, and reconcile financial data from multiple systems and sources.

  • Assist in the creation of visualizations and reporting tools that improve understanding of financial results and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Report Design & Simplification

  • Evaluate existing reports to identify opportunities for simplification, standardization, and automation.

  • Recommend improvements to report layouts, data presentation, and business metrics.

  • Document reporting requirements and assist in translating business needs into reporting solutions.

  • Help eliminate redundant reports and reduce manual spreadsheet-based processes.

Process Improvement & Enhancements

  • Participate in projects focused on improving financial reporting and planning processes.

  • Support automation initiatives using reporting tools, databases, and business intelligence platforms.

  • Test and validate reporting enhancements to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Develop and maintain process documentation and user procedures.

  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, controls, and data quality.

Stakeholder Support

  • Partner with Finance, Accounting, and business teams to understand reporting needs.

  • Respond to ad hoc reporting and analysis requests.

  • Provide support and training to users of financial reports and dashboards.

  • Demonstrate strong customer service and responsiveness to stakeholder inquiries.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Typically two or more years of related experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Experience with data visualization and dashboard development using Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence tools

  • Familiarity with financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, Workday, or similar platforms.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Power Point skills.

  • Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting concepts.

  • Exposure to process improvement methodologies or automation tools.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

*This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $81,515.00 - $95,900.00
