Finance Outsourcing Governance & Control (FOGC) - Director (P3)

This position is part of the Finance Outsourcing Governance & Control (FOGC) function within the Finance Division's Global Centralised Management organisation and is key to contributing to the execution the Firm's Deployment and Outsourcing strategy. This Global Finance team works closely with many levels of management to ensure adherence to all applicable global outsourcing regulations and documentation requirements.

As regulatory expectations for Outsourcing Governance continue to evolve, this role requires a versatile skill set, including effective communication, strong attention to detail, regulatory interpretation, senior stakeholder engagement, data analytics, and project management.

What will you be doing?

> Manage and coordinate key Finance outsourcing governance activities, ensuring alignment with applicable regulatory requirements and Firm policy.
> Lead the periodic review and annual validation of Finance outsourcing arrangements, coordinating senior functional reviews, documenting outcomes and ensuring supporting evidence and remediation plans are maintained.
> Interpret regulatory and policy requirements and translate them into practical governance processes, controls and guidance for Finance stakeholders.
> Build effective relationships across Finance, Compliance, business functions and global teams, providing guidance and decision-support materials to senior stakeholders on outsourcing governance and control matters.
> Coordinate outsourcing risk assessments and review submissions from business and support functions, challenging key assumptions and escalating material gaps where required.
> Lead Finance responses to regulatory, audit and senior management requests, ensuring submissions are accurate, evidence-based and delivered within agreed timelines.
> Lead defined regulatory and governance change initiatives, coordinating stakeholders and ensuring timely delivery against agreed objectives.
> Produce and present management information and governance reporting to support oversight of risk, trends, control performance and required actions.
> Oversee data quality across outsourcing inventories and supporting documentation, addressing gaps and driving improvements in accuracy and consistency.
> Maintain and enhance procedures, controls and governance records, supporting an effective audit trail and consistent operating practices.
> Identify and implement opportunities to simplify and standardise governance processes, using data and digital tools to strengthen controls and reduce manual effort. What we're looking for:
> Knowledge of, or exposure to, outsourcing governance, third-party risk, audit or a comparable control environment within financial services would be desirable.
> Sound understanding of governance and control principles, with the judgement to interpret regulatory and policy requirements and apply them in practice.
> Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and develop practical solutions.
> Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey complex matters clearly and tailor messages for senior and technical audiences.
> Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships and collaborate with stakeholders across functions, seniority levels and global teams.
> Confidence to influence management decision-making and escalate material issues promptly and appropriately.
> Strong organisational skills, with the ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes within agreed timelines.
> Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, reconciliation, reporting and working with large datasets, together with proficiency in PowerPoint and Word.
> Experience with Microsoft Copilot, automation tools or other AI-enabled productivity solutions would be desirable.
